NFL Recap Week 4 2017:

Packers 35-14 over the Bears: 1. When your QB fumbles it twice and throws two interceptions it’s going to be hard for the defense to stop anyone let alone Aaron Rodgers who threw 4 TD passes with 2 going to WR Jordy Nelson. The Bears defense also gave up a rushing TD to the backup RB Aaron Jones who came in when RB Ty Montgomery left the game with a rib injury. 2. The only salvageable thing for Chicago was RB Jordan Howard scored a TD in back to back weeks.

Saints 20-0 over the Dolphins: It was a tale of two different QBs in London: 1. Jay Cutler had one interception in the end zone, fumbled it once and his WR Kenny Stills fumbled it as well. 2. Drew Brees had 2 TDS going to WR Michael Thomas and rookie RB Alvin Kamara.

Texans 57-14 over the Titans: 1. Houston’s defense showed up with one forced fumble by LB Jadveon Clowney, four total interceptions with two by safety Andre Hal. They picked off both QBS, Marcus Mariota who was benched and if you didn’t know that Matt Cassel is still in the league backing up Mariota. One of his interceptions was brought back for a TD. 2. On the offensive side rookie QB DeShaun Watson threw four TD passes and had a rushing TD. RB Lamar Miller had 131 all total purpose yards with a rushing and passing TD. While WR DeAndre Hopkins had over 100 receiving yards with a TD, and in his return Will Fuller V had 2 TDs. 3. Mariota did have the 2 TDS for the Titans on rushing TDs.

Jets 23-20 over the Jaguars: The Jets had a 10 point lead going into the 4th quarter and blew it but came back to win in OT on a game winning field goal to win their 2nd game! 1. QB Josh McCown would have been the goat if they lost since he had two crucial turnovers in the 4th quarter with a fumble that led to a TD, and an interception that led to a field goal. It almost squandered the game by Bilal Powell, who had 190 all total purpose yards(163 on the ground) with a TD, and his backup RB Elijah McGuire had 131 all total purpose yards with a TD. 3. Rookie RB Leonard Fournette had his first receiving TD of his career.

Panthers 33-30 over the Patriots: It was a high scoring affair that came down to a game winning field goal as time expired. 1. QB Tom Brady had over 300 yards passing with 3 TD passes and his RB Deion Lewis had a rushing TD, while his kicker Stephen Gostkowski had 3 field goals. 2. Despite having an interception QB Cam Newton looked great with over 300 yards and 3 TDs, throwing two to WR Devin Funchess, and the other to RB Fozzy Whittaker.

Lions 14-7 over the Vikings: It was a defensive game as both teams held the QBS to 0 TDS and the Lions forced three fumbles. 1. Both teams had rushing TDS one by rookie Dalvin Cook for the Vikings and RB Ameer Abdullah for the Lions, but the two point conversion on his TD and the two field goals by the Lions were the difference.

Bills 23-17 over the Falcons: The Falcons finally lost a game this year and were upset by the Bills who now have the same amount of wins 3!? 1. It was a special teams and defensive game for Buffalo: Kicker Stephen Hauschka had three clutch field goals two of the 3 being 50 yards or more. Safety Micah Hyde had two interceptions, while the team forced three fumbles and took one back for a TD and held WR Julio Jones to 30 yards! 2. RB Devonta Freeman has scored in all four games and has 5 TDS on the year.

Steelers 26-9 over the Ravens: It was a typical AFC North kind of rough and tough game with defense, field goals and running. 1. RB Le’Veon Bell despite a fumble had 186 all purpose yards (144 on the ground) with two rushing TDS. 2. The Steelers defense forced three fumbles one by QB Joe Flacco, intercepted Flacco two times and sacked him four times. 3. Flacco did have a TD pass to WR Mike Wallace but they failed on the two point conversion.

Bengals 31-7 over the Browns: 1. Despite a fumble by QB Andy Dalton he looked dominating, even if it was VS the Browns it was a good way to jumpstart his season as he threw 4 TD passes and 0 interceptions. TE Tyler Kroft caught two of those passes in place of injured TE Tyler Eifert, while AJ Green had one of the four, with two back to back weeks with a TD. RB Giovani Bernard caught the other one and ran it home for 61 yards as Cleveland’s defense collapsed. 2. RB DeShone Kizer was intercepted once, sacked two times and benched for QB Kevin Hogan. The only positive thing besides not being shut out was RB Duke Johnson Jr having a rushing TD in the end.

Rams 35-30 over the Cowboys: When you score pretty much every possession in the RedZone you will most likely win. 1. Despite 3 TD passes by QB Zach Prescott he had a crucial interception late. RB Ezekiel Elliot had a rushing a TD and receiving TD, but the Cowboys couldn’t stop the Rams kicker. Dallas fumbled on a punt return that turned into Cooper Kupp the rookie WR getting a TD. 2. Todd Gurley had 121 rushing yards and 94 receiving yards leading his team in both for yards with a receiving TD, while QB Jared Goff who threw those 2 TD passes had 0 interceptions. 3. The star of the game was kicker Greg Zuelein who had count it 7 field goals and two extra points for a total 23 points from him.

Eagles 26-24 over the Chargers: It was an offensive game where both QBS had no interceptions but each had fumbles. Being down 19-10 going into the 4th quarter put the game on QB Philip River’s back again and it was too much to overcome despite his 2 TD game. His 2 WRS having over 100 receiving yards in Keenan Allen with 138, and Tyrell Williams with 115 with one of those TDs. Even rookie Austin Ekler had a rushing TD but it wasn’t enough as the Chargers defense was torched by RBS LeGarrette Blount and Wendell Smallwood. Blount had 136 yards rushing with 20 yards receiving, and Smallwood 79 total all purpose yards with a rushing TD, and WR Alshon Jeffrey caught QB Jared Goff’s 1 TD pass.

Buccaneers 25-23 over the Giants: They did it again lead briefly after being down and then lose on a game winning field goal in back to back weeks. 1. QB Eli Manning had 0 interceptions and had 2 TD passes and even ran one in for himself for a rushing TD. The Giants were down 13-0 after one quarter before being down 16-10 going into halftime before leading in the 3rd quarter but gave up the lead in the four quarter. 2. QB Jameis Winston had 0 interceptions after having three of them last week, and instead of three picks he had 3 TD passes with one going to WR Mike Evans, while RB Jacquizz Rodgers had 108 total all purpose yards.

Cardinals 18-15 over the 49ers: The NFL was lucky this wasn’t the prime time game with 8 field goals in regulation and one field goal by Robbie Gould in OT. It was almost even on each side for field goals. Both QBS had interceptions but the game was decided in OT by a game winning TD pass from QB Carson Wentz to future hall of famer WR Larry Fitzgerald after the 49ers took the lead on Gould’s field goal(who scored all the points for San Francisco).

Broncos 16-10 over the Raiders: Already without stud WR Michael Crabtree Oakland lost their QB Derek Carr to back spasms in the game and turned to EJ Manuel if you were wondering where he ended up. Both staring QBS did have TD passes to nobodies but the difference was kicker Brandon McManus’s three field goals despite missing one.

Seahawks 46-18 over the Colts: 1. The Seahawks defense was too much for QB Jacoby Brissett who despite having a 1TD pass to WR Donte Moncrief was sacked four times, had his interception returned for a TD, and Seattle forced two fumbles and returned one for a TD as well. When RB Frank Gore is your leading rusher and receiver with 46 rushing and 34 receiving the defense is doing its job. 2. QB Russell Wilson didn’t have a great game but didn’t need to with the way his defense was playing as he had 2 TD passes but two interceptions, while taking a sack in the end zone for a safety with a rushing TD of his own.

Chiefs 29-20 over the Redskins: Washington was leading the game 10-0 then saw that lead slip away as QB Alex Smith led his team back to win on a game winning field goal till chaos ensued for Washington. One a play when the game ends you keep lateraling to your teammates but this time they fumbled it and Kansas City recovered it for a TD making the lead look bigger than it was. 1. RB Kareem Hunt had 131 all purpose yards, and TE Travis Kelce had 111 yards receiving along with a TD. 2. For Washington it was a positive that TE Jordan Reed and RB Robert Kelly played, and new WR Terrelle Pryor Sr. scored for them finally.
