Texans 23-20 over the Buccaneers: The Texans hit a go ahead field goal that would stand because the Buccaneers would eventually turn the ball over on one of their next drives to seal it. QB James Winston did have one TD but had four interceptions with the first one being returned for a TD, plus a field goal was blocked. QB Deshaun Watson wasn’t that much better either with a fumble, an interception and no TDs passes with Carlos Hyde getting the only offensive TD for them.
Patriots 24-17 over the Bills: The Patriots scored 11 straight points to take control and win a game that was tied for most of it. QB Tom Brady only had 1 TD pass but it was RB Rex Burkhead’s TD that was the difference, plus the two point conversion.
49ers 34-31 over the Rams: Kicker Robbie Gould hit the game winning field goal as time expired eliminating their divisional rivals at the same time. QB Jimmy Garoppolo only had 1 TD pass with two interceptions. It was his running game that saved him with two rushing TDs and his defense for picking off QB Jared Goff and returning it for a TD. Goff did finish with 2 TD passes and RB Todd Gurley had two rushing TDs as well.
Falcons 24-12 over the Jaguars: The Falcons took a 17-0 lead and never looked back as RBs Devonta Freeman and Qadree Ollison picked up the slack for QB Matt Ryan who had two interceptions by scoring rushing TDs.
Ravens 31-15 over the Browns: QB Lamar Jackson had 3 TD passes while his counterpart QB Baker Mayfield only had two TD passes but had an interception. The Browns also missed an extra point and a two-point conversion.
Colts 38-6 over the Panthers: The Colts had three rushing TDs and two punt return TDs. Their defense picked off rookie QB Will Grier three times and sacked him five times.
Dolphins 38-36 over the Bengals (OT): In a game of who does not want to win the game someone had to eventually and it was Miami kicking a game winning field goal in overtime. QB Andy Dalton had 4 TD passes for The Bengals and QB Ryan Fitzpatrick had 4 TD passes as well.
Jets 16-10 over the Steelers: It was an ugly game as QB Sam Darnold did have a TD pass but he had three fumbles while his counterpart QB Devlin Hodges had a fumble and two interceptions with no TD passes, plus he was benched. The Jets only won because of their kicker accounting for 10 of their points.
Saints 38-28 over the Titans: QB Ryan Tannehill helped put the Titans up 14-0 early, but QB Drew Brees had 3 TD passes and RB Alvin Kamara had 2 rushing TDs to erase the early deficit and put the game out of reach.
Giants 41-35 over Washington (OT): QB Daniel Jones had 5 TD passes and RB Saquon Barkley had 279 total all-purpose yards with a rushing TD, plus caught a passing TD. QB Dwayne Haskins had 2 TD passes before leaving the game and QB Case Keenum had a passing and rushing TD. RB Adrian Peterson had a rushing TD to move to 4th all-time passing RB Walton Payton. Jones’ 5th TD of the game was the game winner in overtime.
Raiders 24-17 over the Chargers: If it wasn’t for RB Melvin Gordon having 2 rushing TDs this game wouldn’t have been so close. QB Derek Carr had a passing TD and rushing TD for Oakland plus backup RB DeAndre Washington added a rushing TD.
Broncos 27-17 over the Lions: Denver RBs Phillip Lindsay had 109 yards rushing with a TD and RB Royce Freeman added another rushing TD. While the only real highlight of the game for the Lions was a kick return TD.
Cardinals 27-13 over the Seahawks: Cardinals RB Kenyan Drake had 166 yards rushing with two rushing TDs and their defense sacked QB Russell Wilson five times while also forcing two fumbles.
Eagles 17-9 over the Cowboys: QB Carson Wentz had a passing TD and RB Miles Sanders added a rushing TD while Dallas only scored on field goals.
Chiefs 26-3 over the Bears: QB Patrick Mahomes had 2 passing TDs and a rushing TD and put the game out of hand early, while his defense held the Bears to a field goal and 234 total yards.
Packers 23-10 over the Vikings: RB Aaron Jones ran all over the Vikings for 154 yards and 2 rushing TDs, while the defense sacked QB Kirk Cousins five times and picked him off once.
