Bears 31-24 over the Cowboys: Despite RB Ezekiel Elliot’s two rushing TDs it wasn’t enough as the Bears offense was actually firing on all cylinders because of QB Mitchell Trubisky. Trubisky had a rushing TD to go with his 3 passing TDs on the day. Dallas hurt themselves by missing a field goal something has been plaguing them this season, which was his 10th the most in four seasons.
Falcons 40-20 over the Panthers: QB Matt Ryan had 2 TD passes and both his RBS added rushing TDs; while the defense sacked QB Kyle Allen five times, picked him off twice and forced three fumbles, two coming from Allen.
Ravens 24-17 over the Bills: QB Lamar Jackson didn’t have to run all over the Bills like he did the previous week but he threw 3 TD passes compared to the 1 TD pass by QB Josh Allen. Allen did fumble the ball twice though.
Browns 27-19 over the Bengals: Both QBS threw interceptions (Andy Dalton 1 & Baker Mayfield 2) but it was Dalton’s that was returned for a TD. Mayfield however also added a rushing TD of his own along with the rushing TD by RB Kareem Hunt. The major difference was Cleveland converting their scoring opportunities for TDs, while Cincinnati only turned those into field goals or turnovers as they also fumbled once.
Packers 20-15 over Washington: Washington missed an extra point, fumbled the ball twice, and QB Dwayne Haskins had an interception to cancel out his TD pass, which was at the end. With all of those mistakes, QB Aaron Rodgers and RB Aaron Jones did not have to do that much as they each accounted for one of the two TDs on the day.
Broncos 38-24 over the Texans: QB Drew Lock led his team to their 2ndstraight win by having 3 TD passes and RB Phillip Lindsay adding a rushing TD. QB Deshaun Watson did his best to get his team out of the 31-3 hole with his 2 rushing TDs and 1 passing TD, but he also put himself in that hole because of his two interceptions. Plus his WR fumbled the ball away which led to a Denver TD.
Vikings 20-7 over the Lions: Minnesota’s defense held the Lions to 1 TD, picked off QB David Blough two times, sacked him four times, and they missed a field goal. QB Kirk Cousins had a TD pass with no turnovers and RB Dalvin Cook added a rushing TD.
49ers 48-46 over the Saints: QB Drew Brees had a rushing TD, 5 TD passes with one to put his team ahead late in the game but the 49ers hit a game winning field goal to end the game. QB Jimmy Garoppolo also had a good day with 4 TD passes. WR Emmanuel Sanders caught one of those TD passes from Garoppolo, but he also threw one as well to RB Raheem Mostert who added a rushing TD too.
Jets 22-21 over the Dolphins: The Jets hit a game winning field goal to overcome the Dolphins. QB Sam Darnold had 2 TD passes but had an interception and of his team’s two fumbles, plus his kicker missed an extra point. The Dolphins scored all of their points on field goals as their kicker Jason Sanders made 7 out of 8. QB Ryan Fitzpatrick had an interception and two of his team’s three fumbles.
Buccaneers 38-35 over the Colts: Despite Adam Vinatieri being injured and getting a new kicker the Colts still missed a crucial field goal, fumbled the ball away and turned the ball over on downs, which led to another Tampa Bay TD that sealed the game. In spite of three interceptions with one being returned for a TD QB Jameis Winston did throw 4 TD passes, had a rushing TD, and helped lead his team to a comeback win.
Steelers 23-17 over the Cardinals: The Steelers defense picked off QB Kyler Murray three times, forced him to fumble once and sacked him four times. Their special teams had a punt return TD and their kicker scored 11 of the points.
Titans 42-21 over the Raiders: QB Ryan Tannehill had 3 TD passes and his RB Derek Henry added two rushing TDs but scored 21 straight points in the 2ndhalf to make it a blowout. Plus they returned a fumble for a TD.
Chargers 45-10 over the Jaguars: QB Phillip Rivers had 3 TD passes and because they were blowing out the Jaguars his backup QB Tyrod Taylor came in and also threw a TD pass. RB Austin Ekeler caught one of those TD passes and had 213 total all-purpose yards. RB Melvin Gordon had a rushing TD.
Chiefs 23-16 over the Patriots: Both QBs had 1 TD 1 interception, both teams had a rushing TD with Kanas City’s being more interesting with a direct handoff to TE Travis Kelce for the score, and both teams had a field goal blocked. The Patriots had a chance to tie the game or win the game but failed to convert on a 4th and goal plus missed a two-point conversion attempt earlier in the game.
Rams 28-12 over the Seahawks: QB Jared Goff had 2 TD passes and RBs Todd Gurley and Malcom Brown added rushing TDs. While QB Russell Wilson had no TD passes, an interception, and one of his teams two fumbles. The Seahawks only scored a TD on one of Goff’s two interceptions when it was returned for a TD.
Eagles 23-17 over the Giants: In his first game since week 2 QB Eli Manning put the Giants up 17-3 at halftime with 2 TD passes and no interceptions but it would not be a triumph return for him. QB Carson Wentz went on to throw 2 TD’s in the game with one being the game winning TD in overtime.
