Eagles
34-13 over the Giants: It was the RB Saquon Barkley show as he had 229 total
all-purpose yards with a TD but it wasn’t enough for the Giants since their
defense let the Eagles offense charge all over them. QB Carson Wentz had 3 TD
passes with 2 going to WR Alshon Jeffery and his RB Corey Clement had a rushing
TD as well. While the Giants passing game was nowhere to be found as QB Eli
Manning had an interception and a fumble while WR Odell Beckham Jr had a fumble
too.
Falcons 34-29 over the Buccaneers: This
was gun slinging game for both QBs as Matt Ryan had 354 with 3 TDs and Jameis
Winston had 395 yards with 4 TDs. The difference was the turnovers by Winston
who had two interceptions and two fumbles while his kicker missed an extra
point, and the Falcons getting a rushing TD by RB Ito Smith his 3rd straight
game with a TD.
Steelers 28-21 over the Bengals: QB Andy Dalton had 2 TD passes compared to QB Ben Roethlisberger 1 TD pass but that TD was the game winning TD to WR Antonio Brown. It came down to the running game as RB Joe Mixon had 1 TD for Cincinnati but Steeler RB James Connor had 111 yards rushing with 2 TDs, plus the Steelers scored every time they had a chance getting two field goals.
Chargers 38-14 over the Browns: Behind RB Melvin Gordon’s 3 rushing TDs while also rushing for 132 yards and QB Phillip Rivers throwing 2 TD passes as they rolled passed the Browns. QB Baker Mayfield had two interceptions to go with his 1 TD pass. Since it was a blowout the Chargers put in QB Geno Smith if you were wondering what team he was on.
Texans 20-13 over the Bills: When QB Nathan Peterman comes into the game and throws two interceptions and one of your WRs fumbles it twice it’s going to be a long day and a loss. Even though QB DeShaun Watson had two interceptions and three fumbles they were leading 10-0 entering the half. They scored 10 unanswered in the 4th to seal the deal with one of those Peterman interceptions being returned for a TD.
Dolphins 31-28 over the Bears: The Bears offense didn’t look good in the 1st half being shut out but it was their defense that didn’t look good today. They let QB Brock Osweiler who was filling for Ryan Tannehill have 380 yards with 3 TD passes even if they picked him off twice they let him come from behind in the 2nd half and lead the Dolphins down the field for the game winning field goal in OT. They even let RB Frank Gore rush for 101 yards while both Bears RBs had a fumble a piece. They missed the game winning field goal in OT. Outside of an interception late in the game QB Mitchell Trubisky had 3 TD passes and Tarik Cohen made up for the fumble with a rushing TD.
Vikings 27-17 over the Cardinals: The Vikings have now won two straight games and QB Kirk Cousins had a rushing TD and passing TD to WR Adam Thielen who had 113 yards receiving. If it wasn’t for RB David Johnson’s rushing TD they would have only had the field goal on offense besides the fumble recovery TD. In place of injured RB Dalvin Cook, RB Latavius Murray had a rushing TD for Minnesota.
Jets 42-24 over the Colts: In this high scoring affair QB Andrew Luck had 301 yards passing with 4 TD passes but had 3 interceptions and QB Sam Darnold had 2 TD passes with one interception. The huge discrepancy was that the Jets kicker Jason Myers had 7 field goals compared to the Colts two. One of those 3 interceptions by Luck was returned for a TD.
Seahawks 27-3 over the Raiders (In London): Despite a fumble and an interception QB Russell Wilson had 3 TD passes. QB Derek Carr had no TDs but he had two fumbles and so did one of his WRs so they kept giving the ball back to Seattle. It was over early as they were down 20-0 entering the 4th quarter as they could only muster a field goal at the end.
Washington 23-17 over the Panthers: Despite QB Cam Newton out gaining QB Alex Smith by air and ground (43 yards) by having 275 passing yards with 2 TD passes he did have an interception (picked off by his former teammate Josh Norman) . He also had a fumble and his WR DJ Moore had two fumbles. Kicker Graham Gano missed an extra point which is rare. Smith had 2 TDs with one going to TE Vernon Davis who we now know is still in the league. The difference was he had no interceptions but had one fumble though and their kicker hit three field goals.
Rams 23-20 over Broncos: Despite QB Case Keenum having 322 yards with 2 TD passes which was better than QB Jared Goff (0 TD passes with an interception) he did have an interception and fumble. It was all about RB Todd Gurley who had 2 rushing TDs and 208 yards rushing.
Cowboys 40-7 Jaguars: Despite Jacksonville having one of the best defenses and Dallas being lost on offense the Cowboys blew out the Jaguars behind QB Dak Prescott’s 2 passing TDs(both 2 WR Cole Beasley) and 1 rushing TD. RB Ezekiel Elliot had 106 yards rushing with a rushing TD. QB Blake Bortles and his offense could only muster up 1 TD pass to WR Dede Westbrook since he had an interception, and WR Keelan Cole had a fumble.
Ravens 21-0 over the Titans: When you are your team’s leading rusher but don’t have any rushing or passing TDs with a fumble then your offense is a mess, which is the case for QB Marcus Mariota. Despite an interception from QB Joe Flacco he did have one 1 TD pass and RB Alex Collins had 2 rushing TDs. The Ravens had 11 sacks compared to 10 completions for Mariota.
Patriots 43-40 over the Chiefs: This high scoring affair went back and forth all night since both teams don’t have great defenses but have some of the best QBs and skill players in the league. But New England won a game winning field goal by Stephen Gostkowski who had five for the day. QB Patrick Mahomes had 4 TD passes but two interceptions with three of those going to WR Tyreek Hill who had 142 receiving yards. RB Kareem Hunt caught the other TD pass but had 105 yards receiving with his 80 rushing yards. QB Tom Brady had 340 yards passing; a rushing TD and a passing TD which went to WR Julian Edelman and RB Sony Mitchell who had 2 rushing TDs.
Packers 33-30 over 49ers: Kicker Mason Crosby redeemed himself with a game winning field goal as he made all of his field goals. QB Aaron Rodgers had 2 TD passes both going to WR DeVante Adams and RB Ty Montgomery who had a rushing TD. While CJ Beathard had 2 TD passes of his own both going to WR Marquise Goodwin and RB Matt Brieda who had a rushing TD.
