Texans 13-9 over the Bengals: In one of those dreadful Thursday night football games there was only one exciting play. 1. Rookie QB Deshaun Watson had a 49 yard run for a TD, the only TD of the game. 2. It was a five field goal game. 3. Houston had a forced fumble and three sacks. 4. Despite not throwing a pick this week QB Andy Dalton didn’t look great so did the offense, as they have scored 0 TDs through 2 games, and Dalton has more tackles then TD passes.
Ravens 24-10 over the Browns: 1. The Ravens’ defense shut down another offense for the second week in a row. They had two sacks, a forced fumble and picked off both Browns QBS four times. 2. QB Joe Flacco looked good again despite a pick, threw 2 TD passes one going to WR Jeremy Maclin who had a TD the previous week. 3. RB Terrance West scored the third TD of the game against the team that drafted him. 4. Backup QB Kevin Hogan did at least throw a TD pass in place of QB DeShone Kizer, who left the game with a migraine.
Buccaneers 29-7 over the Bears: The Bears looked unprepared to face a team that could have had rust after not playing game one due to the hurricane in Florida. 1. Mike Glennon didn’t show his former team any regrets for letting him go. He threw two interceptions and fumbled once. Rookie RB Tarik Cohen also fumbled on a kick return. One of those interceptions was returned for a TD, which reminded Chicago fans of the days of Jay Cutler. 2. Former Bears RB Jacquizz Rodgers scored a rushing TD while Mike Evans caught the lone TD pass from QB Jameis Winston. 3. The Bears did score one TD late in the game to avoid a shutout as WR Deonte Thompson caught it. 4. QB Ryan Fitzpatrick even came in for Tampa Bay since they were up by so much.
Steelers 26-9 over the Vikings: Well QB Sam Bradford missed the game causing the Vikings to turn to QB Case Keenum, and activated QB Ryan Quigley off the practice squad for the game. It would be a tall task for Minnesota’s defense to hold the Steelers down. 1. QB Ben Roethlisberger had over 240 yards and had 2 TD passes, one going to WR Martavis Bryant who had over 90 all purpose yards. 2. It was a five field goal game as the Vikings defense held WR Antonio Brown and RB Le’Veon Bell scoreless. 3. The only TD of the game for Minnesota was the FB CJ Ham scoring a goal line TD.
Patriots 36-20 over the Saints: After the Patriots’ defense didn’t show up last week we all knew a high scoring game would break out between these two high octane offensive teams with future hall of fame QBS. 1. QB Carson Palmer threw another interception to give him four in two games but did throw one TD pass to JJ Nelson. 3. RB Frank Gore scored the lone TD for the Colts. 4. It was a five field goal game.
Carolina 9-3 over the Bills: 1. The Bills can hang their hats on the fact they kept QB Cam Newton and his RBS scoreless and had six sacks. But they aren’t going to win many games when their leading rusher is their QB Tyrod Taylor, and their leading receiver is their RB LeSean McCoy. 2. It was a four field goal game. 3. LB Luke Kuechly had one forced fumble while DE Julius Peppers had two sacks of his own to add to the three total they had. 4. The Panthers might have won this hard fought game but have lost TE Greg Olson, who broke his foot and is out 6-8 weeks.
Raiders 45-20 over the Jets: 1. Derek Carr threw for 230 yards with 3 TD passes all going to WR Michael Crabtree. Both RBs scored a TD as Marshawn Lynch and his backup Jalen Richard scored rushing TDS. If you didn’t know WR Cordarrelle Patterson is on the Raiders and he had a rushing TD as well. 2. Seahawks 12-9 over the 49ers: 1. It was a five field goal game. If you didn’t know, Blair Walsh is kicking for the Seahawks and Robbie Gould is kicking for the 49ers. 2. Seattle’s defense picked off QB Brian Hoyer and sacked him two times while preventing RB Carlos Hyde from scoring despite his 124 yard rushing game.

Despite RB Ty Montgomery being the offense star of the game with 110 all purpose yards with a receiving TD and rushing TD along with 99 yards and one TD pass from Davante Adams, it wasn’t enough. 3. QB Aaron Rodgers now has 300 career passing TDS.
Lions 24-10 over the Giants: 1. QB Matt Stafford didn’t light up the score but he had a clean day with 2 TD passes with one going to TE Eric Ebron and the other going to WR Marvin Jones. 2. Detroit’s defense had five sacks with one interception and a forced fumble. DE Ezekiel Ansah had 3 of those sacks and that forced fumble. 3. QB Eli Manning was inconsistent with one interception and a TD pass to rookie TE Evan Engram. 4. I don’t know who’s calling the offensive plays for the Giants if it’s the Offensive coordinator Mike Sullivan or head coach Bob Mcadoo, but missed a few chances to score when they were in the end zone. You have four big weapons in the passing game. Can’t they design one play to get it to one of them and not run the ball or throw it short or underneath the receiver?
