NFL Recap Week 8 2021:

Packers 24-21 over the Cardinals: QB Kyler Murray threw an interception in the final seconds to seal the game for the Packers. QB Aaron Rodgers had two TD passes and RB Aaron Jones had a rushing TD. Murray had two total interceptions and one fumble, and if it weren’t for the RBs who had three rushing TDs combined it wouldn’t have been this close.

Jets 34-31 on the Bengals: Backup QB Mike White threw the go ahead TD pass, his second TD of the 4th quarter (3 total), and he caught the two point conversion. QB Joe Burrow did throw three TD passes for the Bengals, as RB Joe Mixon caught one of those TD passes and had a rushing TD.

Bills 26-11 over the Dolphins: QB Josh Allen had two passing TDs and one rushing TD, while QB Tua Tagovailoa had no passing TDs and one interception but had a rushing TD.

49ers 33-22 over the Bears: The Bears were up 16-15 all the way into the 4th quarter but their defense let QB Jimmy Garoppolo score two rushing TDs, and their RB Eli Mitchell had 100 yards with a rushing TD. Bears QB Justin Fields rushed for over 100 yards, and had 175 yards passing with 1 TD.

Steelers 15-10 over the Browns: There were eight punts, four turnovers on downs, two field goals, and two fumbles for these teams combined. QB Ben Roethlisberger threw one TD pass, and RB Najee Harris had a rushing TD.

Rams 38-22 over the Texans: The Rams went up 38-0 entering the 4th quarter and never looked back despite the Texans comeback attempt scoring 22 points in the 4th quarter. QB Matthew Stafford had three passing TDs, one to RB Darrell Henderson who also had a rushing TD plus WR Robert Woods had a rushing TD on top of his receiving TD. QB David Mills had two passing TDs but with an interception, plus their kicker missed a field goal.

Panthers 19-13 over the Falcons: QB Matt Ryan had one fumble, two interceptions, one that sealed the day in the fourth quarter, and they missed a field goal. Carolina got most of their scoring from their kicker who accounted for 13 of their points.

Eagles 44-6 over the Lions: The Eagles running backs did all the scoring with two rushing TDs each by Jordan Howard and Boston Scott.  The Lions fumbled the ball three times but one was returned for a TD.

Titans 34-31 over the Colts(OT): QB Carson Wentz threw his second interception but it was in overtime that led to the Titans scoring the game winning field goal. Both QBs Wentz and Ryan Tannehill had three TD passes with two interceptions, but Wentz’s were costly as the first one was returned for a TD.

Patriots 27-24 over the Chargers: QB Justin Herbert threw two interceptions, one being in the 4th quarter that was returned for a TD, and a two point conversion giving the Patriots the lead which they would hold onto for the rest of the 4th quarter. The Patriots had one rushing TD, but the rest of their scoring outside of the pick six came from their kicker who accounted for 13 of their points.

Seahawks 31-7 over the Jaguars: QB Geno Smith had two passing TDs and a rushing TD, while all that Jacksonville could muster was one TD pass by QB Trevor Lawrence in the 4th quarter.

Broncos 17-10 over Washington: QB Tyler Heincke had two interceptions and two fumbles, plus their kicker missed two field goals. QB Teddy Bridgewater had one TD pass and his RB Melvin Gordon had a rushing TD plus he caught that TD pass.

Saints 36-27 over Buccaneers: QB Tom Brady did have four TD passes but threw two interceptions with one being returned for a TD, which sealed the deal as New Orleans had taken the lead on a field goal earlier. QB Jamies Winston and backup QB Trevor Semeien both had passing TDS while RB Alvin Kamara had a rushing TD.

Cowboys 20-16 over the Vikings: The Vikings led 10-3 entering halftime but eventually gave up the lead to the backup QB for the Cowboys Cooper Rush, who threw two TD passes one being the go ahead TD. Rush had two turnovers and they missed a field goal so it wasn’t looking so well until the Vikings let them back into the game.

Chiefs 20-17 over the Giants: Kansas City hit the go ahead field goal late and then the Giants turned the ball over on downs to seal the game for the Chiefs. QB Patrick Mahomes had one TD pass while QB Daniel Jones had two TD passes.

Bye Week: Ravens and Raiders.
