Raiders 26-24 over the Chargers: QB Phillip Rivers did his best playing from behind all game with 2 TD passes but it wasn’t enough as he threw his third interception late in the 4th quarter to seal the game for Oakland. One of his other interceptions was returned for a TD early in the game.
Bears 20-13 over the Lions: QB Mitchell Trubisky threw 3 TD passes, while QB Jeff Driskel who was filling in for injured QB Matthew Stafford only had 1 TD pass that was in garbage time and he also threw an interception.
Ravens 49-13 over the Bengals: QB Lamar Jackson destroyed the Bengals passing for 3 TDs and 1 rushing TD, plus RB Mark Ingram added a rushing TD. His defense picked off rookie QB Ryan Finley in his 1st start one which was returned for a TD, forced two turnovers on downs, and forced three total fumbles with one being returned for a TD.
Falcons 26-9 over the Saints: The Falcons defense sacked QB Drew Brees six times and held him without a TD, and forced three turnovers on downs. In his return from injury QB Matt Ryan had 2 TD passes.
Titans 35-32 over the Chiefs: QB Patrick Mahomes had 3 TD passes and led his team down the field for the potential game winning field goal but the Titans blocked it to end the game. Kansas City also fumbled the ball away and it was returned for a TD, plus they missed an extra point which also did come back to bite them. While their defense also let RB Derek Henry run all over them with 188 yards rushing with 2 rushing TDs.
Browns 19-16 over the Bills: The Bills missed two field goals with one being towards the end which sealed the loss for them. QB Baker Mayfield had 2 TD passes and actually had no turnovers.
Jets 34-27 over the Giants: For the battle of New York QB Daniel Jones had 4 TD passes while QB Sam Darnold had 1 TD pass but Jones had three of his team’s four fumbles. One of those fumbles were returned for a TD. Also, the Jets had a ground game as RB Le’Veon Bell and Darnold added rushing TDs.
Buccaneers 30-27 over the Cardinals: QB Jameis Winston overcame three turnovers to lead his team down the field for a field goal to go ahead in the 4thquarter, and then he led his team down the field for the game winning TD by RB Payton Barber to seal the game.
Dolphins 16-12 over the Colts: QB Brian Hoyer had three interceptions plus a fumble but it was the offense’s inability to score or convert on 4th quarter that cost them the game at the end. They lost to a team that scored most of their points from field goals outside of a rushing TD by QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, who didn’t have a good passing game with no TD passes and an interception.
Packers 24-16 over the Panthers: QB Aaron Rodgers did not throw a TD pass but he also did not have multiple turnovers like the Panthers offense had, as it was the “Free” RB Aaron Jones show with 3 rushing TDs.
Steelers 17-12 over the Rams: The Steelers sacked QB Jared Goff four times, had three total interceptions, and forced four total fumbles plus the Rams missed a field goal. Pittsburgh’s offense wasn’t that much better but had 1 TD pass by QB Mason Rudolph to WR James Washington, but it didn’t start off well as they fumbled a snap that was returned for a TD to start the game. LB Minkah Fitzpatrick picked off Goff to seal the game.
Vikings 28-24 over the Cowboys: Despite a 3 TD performance by QB Dak Prescott his interception on the final drive of the game sealed their loss. QB Kirk Cousins had 2 TD passes and RB Dalvin Cook added a rushing TD to help give the Vikings their lead in the game.
Seahawks 27-24 over the 49ers (OT): The 49ers had a chance to win a divisional game in OT after picking off QB Russell Wilson but could not take advantage and win, because they missed a game winning field goal. The Seahawks would eventually hit the game winning field in OT.
