49ers 28-25 over the Cardinals: Despite scoring the 1st TD of the game by newly acquired RB Kenyan Drake, Arizona got outscored by QB Jimmy Garoppolo as he threw 4 TD passes for the 49ers matching the amount he has thrown all season before the game.
Bills 24-9 over Washington: QB Josh Allen and RB Devin Singletary ran all over the Washington defense as each had a rushing TD. Allen also threw one TD pass. For their defense the Bills held Washington without a TD.
Chiefs 26-23 over the Vikings: Despite a 3 TD passes for Kirk Cousins the Chiefs came from behind to first tie the game with a field goal, then the game winning field goal as time expired. It was because WR Tyreek Hill had 140 yards receiving with a TD, and RB Damien Williams added a rushing TD that kept them close before the field goals.
Eagles 22-14 over the Bears: The Eagles went up 12-0 by halftime and never looked back as QB Carson Wentz had 1 TD pass to TE Zach Ertz and RB Jordan Howard ran all over his former team with a rushing TD. Yes RB David Montgomery had 2 rushing TDs for Chicago but it was a little too late by then.
Steelers 26-24 over the Colts: QB Brian Hoyer in relief of injured QB Jacoby Brissett did admirably by throwing 3 TD passes and overcoming both a fumble of his own (one of his team’s four) and an interception that was returned for a TD, but it wasn’t enough. Kicker Adam Vinatieri missed a potential game winning field goal towards the end of the game.
Texans 26-3 over the Jaguars: Houston’s defense picked off QB Gardner Minshew twice, sacked him four times, and forced three total fumbles while only giving up a field goal. QB Deshaun Watson had 2 TD passes and his RB Duke Johnson added a rushing TD.
Dolphins 26-18 over the Jets: The Jets started off nice with TD pass by QB Sam Darnold but everything after that went downhill as he had an interception, his team fumbled the ball and his team missed a field goal. Former Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick had fun in this revenge game with 3 TD passes. Interestingly both teams had a safety.
Panthers 30-20 over the Titans: It was the RB Christian McCaffrey show as he had two rushing TDs and a receiving TD. His defense sacked QB Ryan Tannehill four times, intercepted him twice and forced a fumble. Tennessee missed all three field goals.
Broncos 24-19 over the Browns: Journeyman/3rd string QB Brandon Allen started for the injured QB Joe Flacco and outplayed QB Baker Mayfield by throwing 2 TDs compared to Mayfield’s 1. RB Philip Lindsay added a rushing TD as well for Denver.
Chargers 26-11 over the Packers: Los Angeles were up 26-3 in the 4th quarter all because RB Melvin Gordon had his best game of the season with 2 rushing TDs. QB Aaron Rodgers did his best but his late comeback in the 4th quarter wasn’t enough, with his 1 TD pass and two-point conversion as they failed to convert the next time they had the ball.
Raiders 31-24 over the Lions: QB Matthew Stafford did have more yards and TDs with 400+ and 3 TDs than QB Derek Carr, who had 2 TD passes only but he led the team to a comeback victory with those TD passes. RB Josh Jacobs added two rushing TDs as well.
Seahawks 40-34 over the Buccaneers: QB Russell Wilson led his team to a comeback victory in overtime behind his 5 TD passes as his team was either behind or tied for most of the game. QB Jameis Winston played well enough with 2 TD passes and no interceptions but it was not enough. A combined three field goals were missed and extra point.
Ravens 37-20 over the Patriots: The Ravens ran all over that vaunted Patriots’ defense; as QB Lamar Jackson had 2 rushing TDs with a passing TD. His RB Mark Ingram had 115 yards rushing and another RB Gus Edwards added a rushing TD. While QB Tom Brady only had 1 TD pass as well as a fumble and an interception.
Cowboys 37-18 over the Giants: RB Ezekiel Elliott ran all over the Giants 139 yards and QB Dak Prescott had 3 TD passes for this rout of the Giants. The Dallas defense picked off QB Daniel Jones once, forced him to fumble twice with one being returned for a TD, and sacked him five times. The Giants also missed the extra point on their lone TD of the game.
Bye Week: Falcons, Bengals, Rams and Saints.
