NFL Championship Round Recap 2017-2018:

Eagles 38-7 over the Vikings: The Vikings started the scoring off but everything went downhill from there. QB Case Keenum had a fumble and two interceptions with one being returned for a TD. That pick six sealed the game after the 1st quarter as the Eagles scored 31 straight unanswered points. In this game of backup QBs Nick Foles who wasn’t the reason for last week’s win. The reason for this week was going without a turnover with his 3 TD passes. Two of those went to WR Alshon Jeffery and RB LeGarrette Blount had a rushing TD as well. The strategy paid off: 1. Get the lead early. 2. Run the crap out of the ball and control the time of possession which they did by having it for nine more minutes.

Patriots 24-20 over the Jaguars: You can’t blame QB Blake Bortles for this loss outside of his fumble as he had no interceptions with a TD, and the Jaguars took a 14-3 lead towards the end of the 2nd quarter. The plan was get a lead and make QB Tom Brady throw the ball since they were down with his injured throwing hand. But New England has too many weapons at WR, RB and TE to try to stop them all. RB James White had a rushing TD, WR Brandin Cooks had 100 yards receiving. Slot WR Danny Amendola was the one who would be the chosen one to get the TDs, as he caught both of Brady’s 2 TD passes in his 4th quarter comeback to take the lead and game. The lesson we all learn every year is, even if Brady has an injury to his throwing hand and TE Rob Gronkowski leaves the game with a concussion, never doubt this team and its head coach Bill Belichick since they will always come out with the win.
