About Me
All my life I have known that the world of sports is where I wanted to work. Since I knew I couldn’t be the athlete early on I realized that I could fulfill my passion by doing the next best thing; covering the world of sports in a myriad of ways. I have been preparing for this moment since I was a child voraciously perusing sports reference books and publications, collecting sports cards and memorabilia, with a special emphasis on baseball. I would keep up to date with all the 25 man roster and transactions. In addition, I would play primarily sports video games where I would simulate the seasons and play general manager mode before it was even a feature, by building dynasties. I went through middle school and high school viewing a wide array of sports talk shows each and every day like ‘PTI’, ‘Baseball Tonight’, and the old school ‘SportsCenter’ on ESPN2 with Stuart Scott, where I received a great education in the wide world of sports. In middle school I wrote for the school’s paper covering sports, music and the TV/movie world. In high school I took broadcasting where I anchored the morning announcements at the Niles North TV Station, while learning the inside and outside of a broadcast, creating a variety of features like news packages and commercials, etc.
I am a college graduate of Columbia College Chicago with a degree in Radio Broadcasting. Since graduation I have been maintaining a blog and a podcast on Facebook, Blogger and YouTube, covering sports and entertainment. I have Co-hosted a night time sports talk show and anchored an afternoon sports update on the afternoon drive on Columbia College station WCRX 88.1 Chicago’s Underground. I have experience in a variety of classes in Radio, Journalism, and Television starting from high school through college including marketing, management, and public relations courses, in addition to all my experience in broadcasting.
