49ers 36-24 over the Seahawks: QB Brock Purdy outplayed QB Geno Smith: 3 TDs, no turnovers to 1 TD pass with two interceptions. The 49ers backup kicker accounted for 12 of their points. The biggest play was the Seahawks getting a 97 yard kick return TD by Laviska Shenault.
Bears 35-16 over the Jaguars: The Bears were up 14-3 at halftime and never looked back as QB Caleb Williams had four TD passes compared to only two by Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence. Plus RB D’Andre Swift had a rushing TD for Chicago.
Packers 34-13 over the Cardinals: QB Jordan Love had four TD passes compared to QB Kyler Murray for Arizona who only had one. The backup kicker for Arizona accounted for seven of their thirteen points.
Colts 20-17 over the Titans: QB Joe Flacco keeps outplaying the other QB as he had two TD passes compared to QB Will Levis’ one. The Titans were leading 17-10 entering the 4th quarter but blew the lead.
Texans 41-21 over the Patriots: CJ Stroud threw three TD passes, one going to RB Joe Mixon who also had a rushing TD and RB Damien Pierce had a rushing TD. Rookie Drake Maye in his debut had three TD passes but had two interceptions and one of his team’s three fumbles.
Buccaneers 51-27 over the Saints: The most exciting plays in this divisional matchup were a 54 yard punt return for the Saints and a 58 yard fumble return for the Buccaneers. There were four fumbles and five interceptions between them. QB Baker Mayfield obviously outplayed the Saints rookie QB Spencer Rattler with four TD passes compared to his one but had more interceptions. Tampa Bay got two rushing TDs and the Saints got one. Plus each kicker accounted for nine points.
Eagles 20-16 over the Browns: QB Jalen Hurts outplayed QB Deshaun Watson two TD passes to zero. The only TD the Browns got was on special teams getting a 50 yard blocked field goal returned for a TD.
Ravens 30-23 over the Commanders: RB Derrick Henry ran all over Washington’s defense for 132 yards with two rushing TDs. Rookie QB Jayden Daniels did have two TD passes both to WR Terry McLaurin compared to the one by QB Lamar Jackson. Washington also missed a field goal.
Chargers 23-16 over the Broncos: The Chargers were up 23-0 entering the 4th quarter and never looked back. Rookie QB Bo Nix did his best in the 4th quarter but it wasn’t enough even with his two TD passes.
Steelers 32-13 over Raiders: QB Justin Fields had no passing TDs but had two rushing TDs, and RB Najee Harris also had a rushing TD. Las Vegas had four turnovers and QB Aidan O’Connell had one TD pass.
Lions 49-9 over the Cowboys: QB Jared Goff had three TD passes and RB David Montgomery had two rushing TDs plus their kicker accounted for 17 of their points. Dallas had two fumbles, QB Dak Prescott had zero TD passes with two interceptions and if it weren’t for their kicker it would have been a shutout.
Falcons 38-20 over the Panthers: The Falcons ran all over the Panthers defense for almost 200 yards and three rushing TDs (two by Bijan Robinson). QB Kirk Cousins had only a TD pass. QB Andy Dalton did have two TD passes but also had two interceptions.
Bengals 17-7 over the Giants: QB Daniel Jones had no TD passes with an interception and his kicker missed two field goals. QB Joe Burrow had no passing TDs but he had one of his team’s two rushing TDs.
