NFL Recap Week 1 2026:

Seahawks 13-10 over the Patriots: In the Super Bowl rematch QB Drake Maye threw three interceptions including a goal line one to end the game. The Seahawks also sacked Maye three times and like the Super Bowl their kicker accounted for most of their points(7). WR Jaxson Smith-Njigba had 122 yards receiving and caught the only TD for Seattle.

49ers 27-7 over the Rams: In Australia QB Brock Purdy out played QB Matthew Stafford’s three TDs compared to one. San Francisco forced two fumbles and their kicker accounted for nine of their points.

Bengals 33-27 over the Buccaneers: Cincinnati went up 24-10 at halftime and never looked back as they forced four fumbles returning one for a TD. Kicker Evan McPherson accounted for 15 of their points and QB Joe Burrow had one TD pass. Tampa Bay did have an interception return for a TD.

Lions 31-30 over the Saints(OT): QB Tyler Shough threw the game tying TD pass to force overtime but also the potential game winning TD in overtime. They failed to convert the two-point conversion which sealed the game for the Lions. Shough had three TD passes for the Saints and for the Lions QB Jared Goff had two passing TDs and RB Jaymyr Gibbs had two rushing TDs.

Jets 23-10 over the Titans: It was all Jets until QB Cam Ward threw a garbage time TD for the Titans. The Jets had two rushing TDs (one by Breece Hall who had over 100 yards rushing) and their kicker accounted for 11 of their points.

Ravens 41-23 over the Colts: RB Derrick Henry ran all over the Colts for 144 yards with three rushing TDs and QB Lamar Jackson had a passing TD to WR Zay Flowers who had 150 yards receiving. RB Jonathan Taylor was the bright spot for the Colts with two rushing TDs.

Steelers 20-13 over the Falcons: The Falcons missed two field goals, had two fumbles and threw two interceptions with one being returned for a TD by TJ Watt. QB Aaron Rodgers threw one TD pass for the Steelers.

Bears 59-37 over the Panthers: The Bears ran all over the Panthers as RB D’Andre Swift had 124 yards rushing with three rushing TDs and his backup Kyle Monangai had 100 yards himself with a rushing TD. QB Caleb Williams also added two rushing TDs and had two passing TDs. QB Bryce Young did his best with three passing and one rushing TD but it wasn’t enough. They did have three turnovers and missed an extra point.

Jaguars 34-10 over the Browns: QB Trevor Lawrence outplayed QB Deshaun Watson with four TDs compared to one. Jacksonville’s kicker accounted for another ten points.

Bills 36-31 over the Texans: QB Josh Allen threw the go-ahead TD with fewer than two minutes left but missed the two point conversion. That didn’t come back to haunt them because QB CJ Stroud was sacked for a loss and fumbled the ball away (his second).  Allen had two passing TDs and two rushing TDs while Stroud had two passing TDs. The Texans new RB David Montgomery had two rushing TDs.

Raiders 27-13 over the Dolphins: QB Kirk Cousins had three TD passes and outplayed QB Malik Willis who had two of his own turnovers with a rushing TD. Miami had three total turnovers and missed a field goal.

Vikings 39-22 over the Packers: Green Bay had a 22-17 lead entering the 4th quarter and the Vikings outscored them 22-0 with a backup QB. QB Carson Wentz had three TD passes and the team had added two rushing TDs, one by both RBs. QB Jordan Love did have two TD passes.

Eagles 24-22 over the Commanders: In a close divisional game between rivals missing a field goal and an extra point plus a fumble will cost you a close game like here. QB Jalen Hurts had three TD passes compared to QB Jayden Daniels who had two passing TDs.

Cardinals 26-14 over the Chargers: The game was tied early at 7 a piece but the Cardinals outscored the Chargers 19-7 to hold on for the win. Los Angeles had two turnovers compared to none by Arizona.

Giants 28-20 over the Cowboys: The Giants went up 7-0 to start the game and had the lead for almost the whole game holding off a Dallas comeback late in the game. QB Jaxson Dart had three TDs compared to QB Dak Prescott who only had two passing TDs. Dallas did have a turnover and an interception by Prescott and they missed an extra point.

Chiefs 31-10 over the Broncos: It was all QB Patrick Mahomes in his return from injury as he had two passing TDs and one rushing TD. Their new RB Kenneth Walker had 173 yards rushing with a rushing TD and caught one of the TDs from Mahomes. QB Box Nix had four turnovers(one interception and three fumbles).
