NFL Recap Week 1 2025:

Eagles 24-20 over the Cowboys: QB Jalen Hurts outplayed QB Dak Prescott with two rushing TDs total over the zero from Prescott. New Cowboys RB Javonte Williams did have two rushing TDs and RB Saquon Barkley had a rushing TD for the Eagles.

Chargers 27-21 over the Chiefs: QB Justin Herbert outplayed QB Patrick Mahomes in Brazil with three passing TDs to one. Kansas City kicker Harrison Butker scored nine of their points but did miss an extra point.

Commanders 21-6 over the Giants: The Commanders went up 14-3 at halftime and never looked back. Washington had two rushing TDs while the Giants only scored on field goals.

Buccaneers 23-20 over Falcons: QB Baker Mayfield threw the game winning TD his third TD of the game to rookie WR Emeka Ebuka to beat their divisional rivals which was his second of the game. QB Michael Pennix had both a rushing and passing TD for Atlanta but they missed the game tying field goal.

Bengals 17-16 over the Browns: Kicker Evan McPherson hit the go ahead field goal for the Bengals to beat their divisional rival. QB Joe Flacco had two interceptions and their kicker missed both an extra point and a field goal for Cleveland.

Colts 33-8 over the Dolphins: QB Daniel Jones had a passing and two rushing TDs for the Colts. Their kicker accounted for 15 of their points. QB Tua Tagovailo had two of his team’s three turnovers with two interceptions.

Raiders 20-13 over the Patriots: Rookie RB Ashton Jeanty had a rushing TD and QB Geno Smith had a passing TD for the Las Vegas Raiders who won in HC Pete Carroll’s debut. New England only had one TD and missed a field goal.  

Cardinals 20-13 over the Saints: QB Kyler Murray had two passing TDs compared to QB Shane Rattler who had zero TD passes plus their kicker missed a field goal.

Steelers 34-32 over the Jets: The Steelers got the go-ahead field goal to help QB Aaron Rodgers get revenge on his former team. Rodgers had four TD passes and Chris Boswell accounted for ten points. QB Justin Fields wasn’t terrible but he only had one passing TD with two rushing TDs.

Jaguars 26-10 over the Panthers: The Jaguars were up 20-3 at halftime and never looked back. QB Trevor Lawrence had one passing TD and WR Brian Thomas Jr had a rushing TD. QB Bryce Young had two of his team’s turnovers with two interceptions.

Broncos 20-12 over the Titans: If it weren’t for kicker Joey Slye accounting for all of their points the Titans would have been shutout. In spite of four turnovers the Broncos held on with a rushing TD from JK Dobbins.

49ers 17-13 over Seahawks: QB Brick Purdy threw one of his two TDs as the go-ahead TD to beat their divisional rival. Seattle only had one TD but it was a rushing TD as QB Sam Darnold had zero passing TDs.

Packers 27-13 over the Lions: Green Bay went up 17-3 and never looked back over their divisional rival. QB Jordan Love had two passing TDs compared to QB Jared Goff who only had one passing TD.

Rams 14-9 over the Texans:  QB Matthew Stafford had one passing TD for Los Angeles compared to QB CJ Stroud who had zero TD passes. Houston only scored on field goals.

Bills 41-40 over the Ravens: The Bills pulled off the comeback as they were down 40-25 in the 4th quarter. QB Josh Allen threw one of his two TD passes and ran for one of his two rushing TDs plus their kicker hit the game winning field goal as time expired. QB Lamar Jackson had two passing TDs and a rushing TD while RB Derrick Henry had two rushing TDs.

Vikings 27-24 over the Bears: The Bears were up 17-6 at halftime but then let the Vikings score 21 points in the 4th quarter to complete the comeback. QB JJ McCarthy had two passing and one rushing TD for Minnesota but threw an interception that was returned for a TD. QB Caleb Williams had a rushing and passing TD for Chicago but they also missed a field goal.
