NFL Recap Week 3 2024:

Jets 24-3 over the Patriots: QB Aaron Rodgers threw two TD passes and RB Breece Hall had one rushing TD. Their defense held New England to only a field goal and sacked both QBs seven times.

Colts 21-16 over the Bears: The Colts ran all over the Bears for 150 yards (110 over Jonathan Taylor) and had two rushing TDs, two to Taylor and one to Trey Sermon. QB Caleb Williams had a better day for Chicago with two TD passes but had two interceptions and a fumble plus his kicker missed a field goal.

Vikings 34-7 over the Texans: QB Sam Darnold outplayed QB CJ Stroud: Darnold had four TD passes with no interceptions compared to Stroud who had only one TD pass with two interceptions.

Eagles 15-12 over the Saints: RB Saquon Barkley was the hero/star of the game for the Eagles with two rushing TDs and one was the go ahead score late and also had the two-point conversion. This was in spite of no TD passes with an interception/a fumble by QB Jalen Hurts plus the kicker missed a field goal. QB Derek Carr threw only one TD pass, but had an interception. 

Steelers 20-10 over the Chargers: The Chargers had two fumbles and not just lost the game but also lost their QB Justin Hebert who re-injured his ankle. QB Justin Fields had both a passing TD and rushing TD.

Broncos 26-7 over the Buccaneers: Denver got two rushing TDs and kicker Wil Lutz accounted for 14 points. QB Baker Mayfield only had one TD pass but had an interception.

Giants 21-15 over the Browns: The Giants went up 21-7 at half time and never looked back. QB Daniel Jones had two passing TDs and RB Devin Singletary had a rushing TD. QB Deshaun Watson did have two TD passes to WR Amari Cooper but had two fumbles, failed on a two-point conversion and their kicker missed a field goal.

Panthers 36-22 over the Raiders: Well, the benching of QB Bryce Young worked out as QB Andy Dalton had three passing TDs and RB Chuba Hubbard had over 100 yards rushing with a receiving TD, plus RB Miles Sanders had one rushing TD. Interestingly enough, both Raiders QB threw TD passes. The Raiders did also miss a field goal.

Seahawks 24-3 over the Dolphins: Seattle’s defense held the Dolphins to only 205 yards with a field goal and forced three fumbles. QB Geno Smith didn’t have the best game with a fumble and two interceptions but didn’t have to do much as backup RB Zach Charbonnet had two rushing TDs. Both teams missed field goals

Ravens 28-25 over the Cowboys: Dallas was down 28-6 entering the fourth quarter as QB Dak Prescott did his best but wasn’t enough with two passing TDs and a rushing TD, but they failed on two, two pt. conversions. Baltimore ran all over Dallas for 274 yards as RB Derrick Henry had two rushing TDs and QB Lamar Jackson had a rushing and a passing TD.

Rams 27-24 over the 49ers: The Rams hit the game winning field with seconds left. RB Kyren Williams had two rushing TDs and caught one TD pass for the Rams, while QB Brock Purdy had three passing TDs.

Lions 20-13 over the Cardinals: QB Jared Goff out played QB Kyler Murray: two TD passes compared to one plus the Lions got a rushing TD.

Packers 30-14 over the Titans: QB Malik Willis got his revenge against his former team by having a rushing and a passing TD. QB Will Levis did have two TD passes but he had a fumble and two interceptions with one being returned for a TD.

Chiefs 22-17 over the Falcons: QB Patrick Mahomes had two TD passes with the one to JuJu Smith Schuster being the go-ahead score. QB Kirk Cousins did have a TD pass but had an interception and a fumble.

Bills 47-10 over the Jaguars: Josh Allen had four passing TDs and both RBs had rushing TDs. By the time that the Jaguars scored a TD they were down 24 points so it didn’t matter.

Commanders 38-31 over the Bengals: Washington was up 21-13 at halftime and never looked back as they got three rushing TDs from their RBs and QB Jayden Daniels, plus he threw two TD passes. QB Joe Burrow did his best with three TD passes but it wasn’t enough in the end plus his kicker missed a field goal.
