Bill Veeck was a Hall of Fame owner of the Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Indians and St Louis Browns but will be remembered for many things like signing outfielder Larry Doby to integrate the AL in 1947. Veeck was the last owner to purchase a baseball franchise without an independent fortune, and is responsible for many innovations and contributions to baseball. He wrote three books and won one World Series Championship in 1948.
Clete Boyer was a third basemen who won one Gold Glove Award and won two World Series Championships with the New York Yankees.
