Saints 21-16 over the Falcons: QB Tysom Hill this time had two passing TDs (his first career) not rushing TDs and RB Alvin Kamara added a rushing TD. While Atlanta had five punts, one turnover on downs, QB Matt Ryan had two turnovers, and Ryan threw one TD pass but it was too late by then.
Lions 34-30 over the Bears: The Bears were leading by ten entering half time and imploded defensively giving up 21 points, plus QB Mitchell Trubisky had a costly fumble that led to the Lions taking the lead with a TD late. They then turned the ball over on offense to seal it. The Bears did have three rushing TDs two by RB David Montgomery. QB Matthew Stafford had three TD passes and RB Adrian Peterson had two rushing TDs.
Colts 26-20 over the Texans: It was not QB Deshaun Watson’s day with two fumbles, no passing TDs, was sacked in the end zone for a safety, and an interception plus his kicker missed a field goal. QB Phillip Rivers had two passing TDS and RB Nyheim Hines had a rushing TD.
Dolphins 19-7 over the Bengals: Both Bengals QBs had interceptions and their kicked missed a field goal. Miami had one passing TD by QB Tua Tagovailoa and their kicker accounted for thirteen of their points.
Raiders 31-28 over the Jets: The Jets almost pulled off the upset but QB Derek Carr threw a TD pass to WR Henry Ruggs with less than ten seconds to win it which was his third passing TD(TE Darren Weller had two of them) of the day, and he had a rushing TD. QB Sam Darnold had two passing TDs (both to WR Jamison Crowder) and a rushing TD for the Jets.
Vikings 27-24 over the Jaguars (OT): The Vikings let the Jaguars score a late 4th quarter TD to tie the game then both teams missed a field goal to send the game to overtime. Minnesota picked off QB Mike Glennon for the second time and then kicked the game winning field goal in overtime to win it. There were three extra points missed between them and both had two fumbles. Glennon was also sacked in the end zone for a safety, and QB Kirk Cousins was picked off once where it was returned for a TD.
Browns 41-35 over the Titans: QB Baker Mayfield had 4 TD passes which helped put his team up 38-10 entering half time before the Titans had a huge a comeback attempt in the 2nd half but it wasn’t enough in the end. RB Nick Chubb had the other TD for Cleveland. QB Ryan Tannehill also had 4 TD passes and a backup RB had a rushing TD, but they had five turnovers.
Giants 17-12 over the Seahawks: The Giants were shutout in the first half but then scored 17 points to take the lead and held on even after a 4th quarter comeback attempt by Seattle. RB Alfred Morris scored both Giants TDs with a rushing and a passing TD which was thrown by backup QB Colt McCoy. Seattle had four turnovers.
Rams 38-28 over the Cardinals: Arizona did have two 4th quarter TDs, but they also had two costly turnovers in the 4th quarter, where one was an interception that was returned for a TD which didn’t help their comeback bid. The Rams got three rushing TDs by two RBS and QB Jared Goff who also had a passing TD. QB Kyler Murray did have three passing TDs and RB Kenyan Drake added a rushing TD. Both teams missed a field goal.
Patriots 45-0 over the Chargers: HC Bill Bellichck seems to have rookie QB’s number as both of his QB’s threw a passing TD plus Cam Newton added two rushing TDs to that passing TD. The Chargers missed two field goals with one being returned for a TD, QB Justin Herbert had two interceptions, three turnovers on downs and four punts.
Packers 30-16 over the Eagles: QB Aaron Rodgers had three TD passes two to WR DeVante Adams and RB Aaron Jones had a rushing TD. The Eagles benched QB Carson Wentz for rookie QB Jalen Hurts who did have a 4th quarter TD pass but also had an interception, and WR Jalen Reagor had a punt return TD.
Chiefs 22-16 over the Broncos: QB Patrick Mahomes didn’t have to do much as he only had one TD pass and his kicker accounted for 15 points. QB Drew Lock threw two interceptions one to seal the game and his kicker missed a field goal.
Washington 23-17 over the Steelers: Washington was down 14-3 entering halftime and overcame that deficit with a comeback led by one TD pass from QB Alex Smith and a rushing TD by RB Peyton Barber. Washington also hit two field goals to take the lead/extend it and picked off QB Ben Roethlisberger late.
Bills 34-24 over the 49ers: QB Josh Allen had four TD passes and had his team up by ten after halftime and never let up. QB Nick Mullens did have three TD passes but threw two interceptions and did his best to mount a comeback but it wasn’t enough.
Ravens 34-17 over the Cowboys: In his return from Covid19 QB Lamar Jackson had two TD passes with a rushing TD and RB JK Dobbins in his return from Covid19 as well had a rushing TD. QB Andy Dalton did have two TD passes but had an interception and his kicker missed three field goals.
