Texans 41-25 over the Lions: QB Deshaun Watson had four TD passes and his defense picked off QB Matthew Stafford once where they returned it for a TD, plus they forced three fumbles. RB Adrian Peterson did have two rushing TDs for the Lions.
Washington 41-16 over the Cowboys: It was the RB Antonio Gibson show as he had 115 yards rushing with three rushing TDs, and QB Alex Smith threw one TD pass. Their defense picked off QB Andy Dalton where they returned it for a TD and forced a fumble too.
Falcons 43-6 over the Raiders: QB Matt Ryan had two passing TDs and backup RB Ito Smith had a rushing TD. While their defense picked off QB Derek Carr once which was returned for a TD, and they forced five fumbles. Their kicker also accounted for 19 points.
Bills 27-17 over the Chargers: Despite an interception and two fumbles Buffalo led for most of the game as QB Josh Allen had a rushing TD and a passing TD. WR Cole Beasley threw a TD pass as well. QB Justin Herbert had a TD pass but had an interception and two fumbles.
Giants 19-17 over the Bengals: In a game where the Bengals started their 3rd string QB and the Giants starting QB Daniel Jones left the game with a hamstring injury someone had to win this game. Three total fumbles (one sealed the game for New York), an interception, a 103 yard kick return and two total offensive TDs.
Titans 45-26 over the Colts: It was the RB Derrick Henry show with three rushing TDs, 178 yards rushing and QB Ryan Tannehill threw one TD pass and had a rushing TD. WR AJ Brown caught that TD pass and returned a failed onside kick for a TD. For the Colts QB Phillip Rivers had two passing TDs and backup QB Jacoby Brissett had two rushing TDs.
Browns 27-25 over the Jaguars: Jacksonville almost pulled off the upset with a late 4th quarter rushing TD by RB James Robinson, but they failed to convert on the two-point conversion. This was a game where the Jaguars started their 3rd string QB Mike Glennon who had two TD passes, which was the same amount QB Baker Mayfield had. RB Nick Chubb had the other TD for Cleveland.
Vikings 28-27 over the Panthers: QB Kirk Cousins led his team down the field for the go ahead TD which he threw to WR Chad Beebe, and then Carolina missed the game winning field goal. Cousins had three total TD passes the other two went to WR Justin Jefferson. Carolina did get QB Teddy Bridgewater back but he had an interception and their kicker missed two field goals one was blocked. If Minnesota didn’t fumble the ball away on back to back possessions where they both were picked up and returned for a TD for Carolina, it would have not been close.
Patriots 20-17 over the Cardinals: Arizona could have gone on top late to win the game, but missed the field goal and on the next possession New England hit the game winning field goal. RB James White had two rushing TDs to bail out QB Cam Newton who had 0 TD passes with two interceptions. RB Kenyan Drake also bailed out his QB with two rushing TDs as Kyler Murray no TD passing TDs with an interception.
Dolphins 20-3 over the Jets: In place of the rookie QB, QB Ryan Fitzpatrick was back for Miami as the starter and he had two TD passes. QB Sam Darnold was back for the Jets but he had two interceptions and his kicker missed a field goal.
Chiefs 27-24 over the Buccaneers: Kansas City took a 20-7 lead entering half time and led the whole way through despite a nice comeback by QB Tom Brady in the 4th quarter. QB Patrick Mahomes threw for 462 yards three TD passes which all went to WR Tyreek Hill who had 269 yards receiving. Brady did throw three TD passes but threw two interceptions.
49ers 23-20 over the Rams: Despite missing a field goal earlier kicker Robbie Gould kicked the game tying field goal and game winning field goal for the 49ers. Both QBs had 0 TD passes with three combined interceptions (the 49ers returned one for a TD) and five total fumbles (the Rams returned one for a TD) between the teams. Both teams also had one rushing TD.
Saints 31-3 over the Broncos: The Saints again started their QB who has been a special teams/gadget player with not many career passes before his win last week VS the Broncos, who’s backup QB Jeff Driskel tested positive for Covid so all other three QBS (including the starter QB Drew Lock) on the roster were sent home to contact tracing concerns (they were not wearing masks). They started a practice squad player who is a WR but was a college QB and 3rd string RB Royce Freeman. QB Taysom Hill had two rushing TD again and backup RB Latavius Murray had two rushing TDs.
Packers 41-25 over the Bears: QB Aaron Rodgers had four TD passes and RB Jamaal Williams had a rushing TD. QB Mitchell Trubisky was back as the starter/healthy where he did have three TD passes two to WR Allen Robinson but he had two interceptions and three fumbles where one was returned for a TD.
Seahawks 23-17 over the Eagles: The Seahawks led 17-9 entering the 4th quarter and never led up. QB Russell Wilson had a TD pass and RB Chris Carson had a rushing TD. QB Carson Wentz had two TD passes for the Eagles but threw an interception and his kicker missed an extra point.
Steelers 19-14 over the Ravens: The Ravens had a minimum of twenty players on the Covid list including QB Lamar Jackson, RB Mark Ingram, TE Mark Andrews and DL Calais Campell to name some. The Steelers were without a minimum of five players including RB James Conner and C Maurice Pouncey to name some. In this messy game that was played Wednesday afternoon there were four fumbles, two interceptions and one extra point missed. QB Robert Griffin III started for the first time in years, threw an interception that was returned for a TD and got benched for a 3rd string QB who threw a TD pass plus backup RB Gus Edwards had a rushing TD.
