NFL Recap Week 5 2020:

Bears 20-19 over the Buccaneers: Tampa Bay took a quick 10-0 lead over the Bears. They picked off QB Nick Foles in the 1st quarter, but would soon be playing catch up the rest of the game. The Bears would then score two TDs (their 1st rushing TD all season) in the 2nd quarter, and just hold on at the end of the game as QB Tom Brady thought it was 3rd down when it was really 4th to turn the ball over and seal the game.

Browns 32-23 over the Colts: Cleveland’s defense picked off QB Phillip Rivers twice, one being returned for a TD and then they caused a safety. While QB Baker Mayfield threw two TD passes but had two interceptions.  The Colts had a rushing TD and a kick return TD.

Dolphins 43-17 over the 49ers: QB Ryan Fitzpatrick threw three TD passes, RB Mike Gaskin had a rushing TD and their kicker accounted for 19 points. Miami’s defense picked off QB Jimmy Garoppolo twice which also led to his benching and forced two fumbles.

Panthers 23-16 over the Falcons: QB Teddy Bridgewater threw two TD passes and the defense picked off QB Matt Ryan once and forced a fumble too. Only RB Todd Gurley scored for Atlanta with a rushing TD. 

Ravens 27-3 over the Bengals: QB Lamar Jackson had two TD passes, while his defense picked off QB Joe Burrow once; forced three fumbles (two from Burrows), one being returned for a TD, and held them to only a field goal.

Texans 30-14 over the Jaguars: QB Deshaun Watson got Houston their first win of the season by throwing three TD passes compared to QB Gardner Minshew’s two TD passes. The Jaguars had two fumbles and missed two field goals.

Raiders 40-32 over the Chiefs: QB Derek Carr had three TD passes and RB Josh Jacobs had two rushing TDs. While QB Patrick Mahomes had two passing TDs, a rushing TD, and WR Tyreek Hill added a rushing TD.

Cardinals 30-10 over the Jets: QB Kyler Murray and his RBs ran all over the Jets for three total rushing TDs to add to his passing TD. QB Joe Flacco did throw one TD pass but it was in 3rd quarter when the game was already out of hand.

Steelers 38-29 over the Eagles: QB Ben Roethlisberger coming off a bye week didn’t plan on having thrown three TD passes, RB James Connor had a rushing TD and rookie WR Chase Claypool caught those three TD pass, plus had a rushing TD. Despite two rushing TDs from RB Miles Sanders and two passing TDs from Carson Wentz, he also threw two interceptions with one towards the end of game. They also missed a field goal.

Rams 30-10 over Washington: QB Jared Goff threw two TD passes and had a rushing TD.  RB Darrell Henderson also had a rushing TD. Both QBs for Washington didn’t play well as the only positives were that QB Kyle Allen had a rushing TD, and QB Alex Smith played for the first time in two years after overcoming life-threatening leg injury.

Cowboys 37-34 over the Giants: RB Ezekiel Elliot carried the Cowboys with two rushing TDs and WR Ced Wilson threw a TD to QB Dak Prescott. Prescott was carted off the field with a compound fracture and a dislocation of his right ankle ending his season. They won the battle but lost the war all in one game. For New York RB Devtona Freeman had a rushing TD his first as a Giant and TE Evan Engram did too. The Giants picked off Prescott which they returned for a TD, and Dallas forced a fumble they returned for a TD.

Seahawks 27-26 over the Vikings: The Vikings were leading big time thanks to a rushing TD by Dalvin Cook and two passing TDs from Kirk Cousins, but then QB Russell Wilson used his comeback magic to win in the end. They scored 21 points in the 3rd quarter and a game winning TD late in the 4th quarter with three passing TDs from Wilson, and a rushing TD from RB Chris Carson.

Saints 30-27 over the Chargers (OT): QB Justin Herbert threw four TD passes and QB Drew Brees had a passing TD with a rushing TD, plus QB Taysom Hill had a rushing TD. Hill’s TD tied the game and Chargers missed a field goal to bring on overtime. The Saints hit the go ahead field goal in overtime but San Diego turned the ball over on downs to end the game.

Titans 42-16 over the Bills: QB Ryan Tannehill had three TD passes with a rushing TD and RB Derrick Henry had two rushing TDs. The Bills had two fumbles and QB Josh Allen did have two TD passes but also threw two interceptions.
