NFL Recap Week 3 2020:

Dolphins 31-13 over the Jaguars: It was all “Fitzmagic” as QB Ryan Fitzpatrick had 2 passing TD and one rushing TD. RB Jordan Howard added another rushing TD and the defense picked off QB Gardner Minshew once and forced him to fumble once. The Jaguars missed an extra point, had three turnovers on down which doesn’t help matters when you’re down early, and if it wasn’t for RB James Robinson’s 2 rushing TD it would have been uglier.

Browns 34-20 over Washington: QB Baker Mayfield had two TD passes and RB Nick Chubb had two rushing TDs to lead the way. Their defense also did their part. The defense picked off QB Dwayne Haskins three times, forced three fumbles and Washington missed an extra point.

Bills 35-32 over the Rams: QB Josh Allen went off again this time with four TD passes (one being the game winner) and one rushing TD. QB Jared Goff did all he could since his team was down 28-3 until the middle of the 3rd quarter. He had two passing TDs with one rushing TD, but it also hard to overcome three team fumbles, his one interception and their missing a field goal.

Steelers 28-21 over the Texans: RB James Connor scored the go ahead TD in the 4th quarter as he finished with 109 yards rushing, and QB Ben Roethlisberger had two passing TDs. For Houston, QB Deshaun Watson did have two passing TDs too but threw an interception in the 4th quarter and RB David Johnson added a rushing TD.

49ers 36-9 over the Giants: Despite missing their starting QB, both of their starting RBs, a few WRs and some of their key defense players it was all 49ers as they got three rushing TDs by three different players. QB Nick Mullens added 1 passing TD with no turnovers for San Francisco and their defense forced four fumbles and had one interception.

Patriots 36-20 over the Raiders: When you fumble the ball away three times and miss a field goal it is very hard to win a game but it’s even harder if you’re facing HC Bill Bellichek. The Patriots are the kind of team that will take advantages of your mistakes and they also ran all over the Raiders. RB Rex Burkhead had two rushing TDs, RB Sony Michel had 117 yards rushing and QB Cam Newton added 27 rushing yards. Burkhead caught Newton’s one TD pass.

Titans 31-30 over Vikings: Kicker Stephen Goskowtksi hit the go ahead field goal (one of his six) and the defense picked off QB Kirk Cousins towards the end of the game for the second time also did have 3 TD passes. The Titans defense also forced two fumbles and the Vikings missed a field goal. RB Derrick Henry had two rushing TDs for Tennessee and RB Dalvin Cook had a rushing TD for the Vikings.

Eagles Tie Bengals 23: In despite of having one of his team’s two fumbles and throwing two interceptions QB Carson Wentz did his best to keep his team from losing with both a rushing TD and passing TD. QB Joe Burrow did his best to keep the Bengals in the game despite being sacked eight times by throwing two passing TDs.

Bears 30-26 over the Falcons: The Falcons had a huge lead again this time 26-10 entering the fourth quarter and they blew it again despite the Bears missing a field goal, having two fumbles and QB Mitchell Trubisky throwing an interception. TE Jimmy Graham caught two TD passes one from Trubisky and the other from QB Nick Foles who came into the game and threw three total TD passes. The Falcons got two rushing TDs one from RB Todd Gurley, and QB Matt Ryan had a TD pass but threw an interception, plus they missed a field goal.

Colts 36-7 over the Jets: On the first drive of the game for the Jets QB Sam Darnold threw an interception that was returned for a TD which he did another time in the game for a total of three interceptions with two returned for a TD. Darnold was also sacked in the end zone for a safety as well. QB Phillip Rivers had 1 TD pass and RB Jonathan Taylor had a rushing TD for the Colts.

Panthers 21-16 over the Chargers: Rookie QB Justin Herbert had one interception and two of his team’s four fumbles which does not help when the opposing team scores 13 points off turnovers and leads 18-7 entering halftime. For Carolina kicker Joey Slye accounted for 15 of the 21 points they scored.

Seahawks 38-31 over the Cowboys:  It was all QB Russell Wilson for Seattle who had 5 TD passes three going to WR Tyler Lockett. QB Dak Prescott did have 3 TD passes but he had two interceptions and a fumble. Dallas also missed an extra point.

Buccaneers 28-10 over the Broncos: QB Tom Brady had 3 TD passes two going to WR Mike Evans and his defense picked off both Broncos QBs, forced a fumble and sacked them six times. Tampa Bay’s defense also sacked the QB in the end zone for a safety and blocked a punt.

Lions 26-23 over the Cardinals: The Lions won a game winning field goal.  QB Kyler Murray had three interceptions, two TD passes, one rushing TD, and his team missed an extra point while QB Matthew Stafford had 2 TD passes with no turnovers.

Packers 37-30 over the Saints: Both future Hall of Fame QBs had 3 TD passes each (Rodgers & Brees). The difference was the three fumbles by the Saints and the Packers getting a rushing TD from RB Aaron Jones.

Chiefs 34-20 over the Ravens: QB Patrick Mahomes had four passing TDs (one of them to the LT & one of to the FB) and one rushing TD for Kansas City, while QB Lamar Jackson had one TD pass but had two of his team’s three fumbles. The Chiefs won despite missing a field goal and one extra point.
