NFL Recap Week 2 2020:

Browns 35-30 over the Bengals: The Browns took a 7-3 leading enter the 2nd quarter and never looked back. RB Nick Chubb had 124 yards with two rushing TDs and RB Kareem Hunt had one rushing TD and a receiving TD. Rookie QB Joe Burrow did his best to comeback with 3 TD passes but had two fumbles which doesn’t help when you’re down all game.

Titans 33-30 over the Jaguars: Kicker Stephen Gostkowski actually made all of his field goals with one being the go ahead score as the opposing QB Gardner Minshew threw an interception on the next possession sealing the game, it was his second interception. Minshew might have had 3 TD passes but he wasn’t perfect like the previous week since he also had a fumble as QB Ryan Tannehill was for the Titans with 4 TD passes.

Buccaneers 31-17 over the Panthers: Tampa Bay took a 21-0 lead and never looked back as RB Leonard Fournette had 2 rushing TDs, RB Ronald Jones had a rushing TD and QB Tom Brady threw a TD pass to WR Mike Evans. Their defense forced three fumbles, picked off QB Teddy Bridgewater twice, sacked him five times and forced a turnover on downs once. If it wasn’t for RB Christian Mcaffrey having two rushing TDs it would have been a lot worse.

Steelers 26-21 over the Broncos: QB Drew Lock went down early with an injury and back QB Jeff Driskel did everything he could with 2 TD passes but he had one interception, was sacked seven times, his team fumbled it twice, missed a field goal and he was sacked in the end zone for a safety. QB Ben Roethlisberger had 2 TD passes and RB James Connor had a rushing TD.

Rams 37-19 over the Eagles: It was all Rams as QB Jared Goff had 3 TD passes all to TE Tyler Higbee, RB Darrell Henderson had a rushing TD and WR Robert Woods had a rushing TD. Despite RB Miles Sanders in his return having a rushing TD and QB Carson Wentz having a rushing TD it wasn’t a good game for the Eagles as Wentz had 0 TD passes, two interceptions and Sanders had a fumble.

49ers 31-13 over the Jets: It was all 49ers as QB Jimmy Garaoppolo had 2 TD passes both to TE Jordan Reed and RBs Raheem Mostert and Jerrick McKinnon both had rushing TDs. QB Sam Darnold did his best to overcome the huge deficit but only could muster one 1 TD pass. San Francisco did lose Garaoppolo, Mostert, Nick Bosa and Solomon Thomas in this game.

Bills 31-28 over the Dolphins: It was all QB Josh Allen who had a 4 TD, no interception game to lead his team as they were in control for most of the game. QB Ryan Fitzpatrick did his best with 2 TD passes of his own but it was too much of a deficit to overcome.

Colts 28-11 over the Vikings: QB Kirk Cousins threw three interceptions and was sacked in the end zone for a safety. QB Phillip Rivers did have an interception but threw 1 TD pass, while rookie RB Jonathan Taylor added his first career rushing TD and 101 yards rushing for the Colts.

Packers 42-21 over the Lions: The Lions started off strong with two TDs but didn’t score again until the 4th quarter and by then it was too late. RB Aaron Jones went off Green Bay with 168 yards rushing with two rushing TDs, 68 yards receiving and one receiving TD. QB Aaron Rodgers added 2 TD passes (one went to Jones) while QB Matthew Stafford did throw 2 TD passes for Detroit as well but had one interception that was returned for a TD and his team missed a field goal.

Cowboys 40-39 over the Falcons: Dallas did hit a game winning field goal after a successful onside kick but it wasn’t as close as you think the game was. The Falcons were up 29-10 entering halftime and even scored 10 points in the 4th quarter but Dallas kept on chipping away at that lead to eventually come out victorious. QB Dak Prescott did have 1 TD pass but was most impressive was his three rushing TDs and RB Ezekiel Elliott did also add a rushing TD. QB Matt Ryan had put the Falcons up early because he had 4 TD passes two going to WR Calvin Ridley and his defense had forced four fumbles and two turnovers on downs but the defense collapsed in the 2nd half.

Bears 17-13 over the Giants: The Bears took a 17-0 lead in the 1st half thanks to QB Mitchell Trubisky having 2 TD passes and the defense forcing a fumble and having one interception but don’t think they cruised the rest of the game. Trubisky threw two interceptions and Chicago missed a field goal. They got helped because of the turnovers by New York and that they also missed a field goal as well. Giants lose RB Saquon Barkley to a torn ACL.

Cardinals 30-15 over Washington: Arizona took a 20-0 lead entering half time and didn’t look back as QB Kyler Murray had one passing TD and two rushing TDs to lead his team. Washington fumbled the ball away twice, missed two 2 point conversion attempts, and by the time they scored in the 4th quarter it was too late.

Chiefs 23-20 over the Chargers (OT): Harrison Butker hit the game tying field goal in the 4th quarter and the game winning one in overtime. QB Patrick Mahomes had 2 TD passes which went to his best players in TE Travis Kelce and WR Tyreek Hill. Rookie QB Justin Herbert in his debut for the injured Tyrod Taylor did his best to go toe and toe with Mahomes as he had had more passing yards with 1 TD pass and a rushing TD but had an interception.

Ravens 33-16 over the Texans: The Ravens took a 20-10 lead entering half time and didn’t look back as QB Lamar Jackson had one passing TD and RB Mark Ingram had one rushing TD. Their defense picked off QB Deshaun Watson once and they forced a fumble which was returned for a TD too.

Seahawks 35-30 over the Patriots: Despite a two rushing, one passing TD performance by QB Cam Newton, QB Russell Wilson would not be denied. He was a one man wrecking crew with 5 passing TDs. Both QBs had interceptions but what really hurt New England was that they missed a field goal for the second straight week.

Raiders 34-24 over the Saints: The Saints went up 10-0 in the 1st and it was tied at 17-17 entering half but the Raiders poured it on the in 2nd half. QB Derek Carr had 3 TD passes and RB Jalen Richards had a rushing TD. It would not have been even that close if it weren’t for two rushing TDs by RB Alvin Kamara for the Saints.
