NFL Recap Week 17 2019:

Jets 13-6 over the Bills: With the Bills already having a playoff spot they had nothing to play for and it showed as QB Matt Barkley had two interceptions and two fumbles. QB Sam Darnold did not play much better as he had an interception and fumble but he did throw 1 TD pass and led his team down the field for four field goals even if his kicker missed half of them.

Saints 42-10 over the Panthers: QB Drew Brees shredded the Panthers’ defense for 3 TD passes and RB Alvin Kamara ran all over them for 2 rushing TDs. While their defense picked off both QBs one time each with one being returned for a TD and a forced fumble. Of course RB Christian McCaffrey scored the Panthers only TD.

Bengals 33-23 over the Browns: The Browns couldn’t even beat the lowly Bengals despite getting three TD passes from QB Baker Mayfield because he had had three interceptions and a fumble. Plus, his offensive let him get sacked six times. The Bengals were led by a 162 yard rushing game with 2 TD passes by RB Joe Mixon, and QB Andy Dalton had a passing TD plus a rushing TD.

Packers 23-20 over the Lions: The Packers narrowly won this divisional game by hitting the game winning field goal at the end. The Lions were up 17-3 at half time because RB Kerryon Johnson was back from injury that kept him out for most the season. He got a rushing TD and WR Danny Amendola threw a TD pass to his QB. QB Rodgers led his team from behind with 2 TD passes and set up those field goals including the game winning one.

Chiefs 31-21 over the Chargers: QB Patrick Mahomes wasn’t the star of this game as he only had 1 TD pass with an interception. It was his RB. Damien Williams who had 124 yards rushing with 2 rushing TDs. The Chiefs also got a kick return TD and their defense picked off QB Phillip Rivers twice.

Bears 21-19 over the Vikings: The Bears won because their kicker Eddie Pineiro accounted for 13 points and their defense picked off the Vikings backup QB twice. They also tackled a Vikings player in the end zone for a safety which was the difference, and the only TD of the game was from RB David Montgomery. The Vikings also got 13 points from their kicker and a rushing TD.

Dolphins 27-24 Patriots: QB Ryan Fitzpatrick led his team down the field for the game winning TD and had a rushing TD earlier in the game. On the Patriots final drive they fumbled the ball away to end the game as they were attempting their own series of laterals that would lead to a TD like Miami did last year to them. The Dolphins picked off QB Tom Brady early in the game and returned it for a TD.

Falcons 28-22 over the Buccaneers: QB Jameis Winston is first ever QB to join the 30 interceptions, 30 TD with a walk off pick 6 in OT to end his season and seal the game for the Falcons. The Falcons kicker accounted for 16 of their points. The Buccaneers kicker missed all of his field goals and they got a TD on a fumble recovery.

Ravens 28-10 over the Steelers: The Ravens did not having anything to play for but still won. Kicker Justin Tucker accounted for 14 of their points. Their defense forced three fumbles with one being returned for a TD and recorded a safety.

Titans 35-14 over the Texans: QB Ryan Tannehill threw 2 TD passes but RB Derrick Henry stole the show with 211 yards rushing and 3 rushing TDs. While the Texans were not playing for anything as they started their backups and QB AJ McCarron threw 0 TD passes with an interception.

Jaguars 38-20 over the Colts: RB Marlon Mack’s game of 2 rushing TDs wasn’t enough as Jacksonville got 3 TD passes from QB Gardner Minshew who led them to victory after being down early on, plus the Jaguars returned a fumble for a TD.

Cowboys 47-16 over Washington: QB Dak Prescott had 4 TD passes and RB Ezekiel Elliot had 122 yards rushing with a rushing TD, plus he caught one of those TD passes.

Eagles 34-17 over the Giants: QB Carson Wentz had a TD pass but it was RB Boston Scott who stole the show with 3 rushing TDs. Their defense forced three fumbles, sacked QB Daniel Jones four times and picked him off once.

Broncos 16-15 over the Raiders: QB Derek Carr led his team down the field for a potentially game winning drive with a TD but missed the two-point conversion trying to go for the win. Missing a field goal earlier in the game came back to haunt the Raiders.

Rams 31-24 over the Cardinals: QB Jared Goff had 3 TD and RB Malcom Brown added a rushing TD. While their defense picked off QB Kyler Murray twice and forced three fumbles.

49ers 26-21 over the Seahawks: With 1st place and the #1 seed on the line for the Seahawks, QB Russell Wilson did all he could to pull of the comeback but it wasn’t enough as they were held scoreless in the first half with a 13 point deficit. Wilson had two 2nd half TDs and the return of “Beast Mode” RB Marshawn Lynch even added a rushing TD. The 49ers got three rushing TDs and mostly field goals.
