NFL Recap Week 8 2019:

Vikings 19-9 over Washington: It was all RB Dalvin Cook who had 171 total all-purpose yards and the only TD of the game. The rest of the game was all field goals but QB Kirk Cousins did outplay his counterpart again only having two incompletions all game while both QBS for Washington didn’t have great days with an interception.

Colts 15-13 over the Broncos: Despite the Colts missing an extra point, a field goal and having more fumbles than the Broncos, they held on to win because of a game winning field goal at the end.

Titans 27-23 over the Buccaneers: QB Ryan Tannehill who had 3 TD passes with no interceptions outplayed QB Jameis Winston, who had 2 TDS with total turnovers (two interceptions one sealed the game & three fumbles). One of those 3 TD passes for Tannehill came in the 4th quarter to take the lead.

Saints 31-3 over the Cardinals: In QB Drew Brees’ return from his thumb injury he had 3 TD passes with one going to RB Latavius Murray, who also added a rushing TD filling in again for injured RB Alvin Kamara.

Rams 24-10 over the Bengals: The Ram’s offense looked like its old self as QB Jared Goff had 2 TD passes and RB Todd Gurley added a rushing TD. Their defense sacked QB Andy Dalton five times and limited him to 1 passing TD.

Jaguars 29-15 over the Jets: Jacksonville’s defense sacked QB Sam Darnold eight times, forced a fumble and picked him off three times. QB Gardner Minshew outplayed Darnold by having 3 TD passes and no interceptions.

Lions 31-26 over the Giants: Despite 4 TD passes from Daniel Jones the Giants trailed the whole game because QB Matthew Stafford got his team up early and finished with 3 TD passes. Jones’s two fumbles were costly as one was returned for a TD and the Giants missed an extra point as well.

Chargers 17-16 over the Bears: The Bears missed two field goals on the day but the last one was the potentially game winning field goal that they missed. Both QBs had bad days as Mitchell Trubisky had no TD passes with a fumble plus an interception and QB Phillip Rivers also had an interception but he did have 1 TD pass. RB Melvin Gordon added a rushing TD his 1st of the season.

Eagles 31-13 over the Bills: The Eagles snapped their losing streak behind all of their RBs getting rushing TDs and QB Carson Wentz throwing 1 TD pass. The Eagles defense forced three fumbles from QB Josh Allen to cancel out his 2 TD passes plus blocked an extra point.

Seahawks 27-20 over the Falcons: QB Russell Wilson had 2 TD passes with no turnovers while his counterpart QB Matt Schaub who was filling in for the injured QB Matt Ryan did have 1 TD pass, but he had one of his team’s two fumbles and interception plus his kicker missed two field goals.

49ers 51-13 over the Panthers: RB Tevin Coleman stole the show with three rushing TDs and caught one of QB Jimmy Garoppolo two TD passes plus his team added another two rushing TDs. While their defense sacked QB Kyle Allen seven times and picked him off three times.

Texans 27-23 over the Raiders: QB Deshaun Watson led his team from 21-13 deficit entering the 4th quarter with 3 TD passes two coming in the 4th quarter after QB Derek Carr had three of his own to put his team up early.

Patriots 27-13 over the Browns: New England’s defense forced three fumbles with one being returned for a TD, picked off QB Mayfield once and sacked him five times. While QB Tom Brady threw 2 TD passes both to WR Julian Edelman.

Packers 31-24 over the Chiefs: QB Matt Moore was admirable for being the fill in for injured QB Patrick Mahomes by having 2 TD passes but it wasn’t enough as his team missed a field goal and had a fumble while QB Aaron Rodgers had 3 TD passes. Two of his TD passes went to RB Aaron Jones and other went to RB Jamaal Williams who also added a rushing TD.

Steelers 27-14 over the Dolphins: The Steelers’ defense forced three fumbles and picked off QB Ryan Fitzpatrick twice. QB Mason Rudolph led his team to a comeback win after being down 14-0 early by throwing 2 TD passes plus RB James Conner added a rushing TD.
