NFL Recap Week 7 2019:

Chiefs 30-6 over the Chargers: When leading 10-6 the Chiefs lost QB Patrick Mahomes to an ankle injury but they didn’t wave the white flag as they added 20 more points from a TD pass by backup QB Matt Moore. Their defense added a defensive TD from a fumble recovery one of three fumbles they forced. That defense sacked QB Joe Flacco nine times and held the run game to 71 yards total. Outside of an early rushing TD by Royce Freeman, Denver failed to score much after that like failing on a two-point conversion and they also missed a field goal.

49ers 9-0 over Washington: San Francisco in the rain held Washington’s QB to 77 yards passing and their RB to 81 yards rushing with a fumble plus Washington missed a field goal. QB Jimmy Garoppolo had two turnovers but that didn’t hold back the 49ers from scoring any points, they all came from kicker Robbie Gould who did miss a field goal though.

Cardinals 27-21 over the Giants: QB Daniel Jones might have had 100+ more yards with a TD pass compared to fellow rookie QB Kyler Murray but he had an interception and three fumbles. RB Saquon Barkley had a rushing TD in his return from injury, but the story was former 4th round pick RB Chase Edmonds who had 126 yards rushing with 3 rushing TDs! The Giants did block a punt for a TD though.

Packers 42-24 over the Raiders: QB Aaron Rodgers was surgical as he had 420 yards passing and 5 TD passes with a rushing TD too. The other QB Derek Carr did have two TD passes but he turned the ball over twice. While QB Mike Glennon did throw a TD late in the 4th quarter after Carr got benched.

Vikings 42-30 over the Lions: In this high scoring affair QB Kirk Cousins outplayed QB Matthew Stafford(he threw all of his TD passes to WR Marvin Jones), which is a shocker as both had 4 TD passes and over 300 yards but Cousins played a clean day and Stafford had an interception. The biggest difference was the Lions had no rushing attack and the Vikings had 2 rushing TDs and 142 yards rushing from RB Dalvin Cook. Stafford though became the quickest to 40,000 yards passes since QB Matt Ryan.

Jaguars 27-17 over the Bengals: Andy Dalton had a rushing TD to go with his passing TD but he had three interceptions one being returned for a TD. WR Tyler Boyd had a fumble which was enough for QB Gardner Minshew and Josh Lambo to lead the Jaguars to victory. Minshew had 1 passing TD and Lambo accounted for 13 points.

Colts 30-23 over the Texans: In this AFC south matchup QB Jacoby Brissett of the Colts outplayed QB Deshaun Watson of the Texans 4 TDs to 1 and had less turnovers 2 to 1. The Colts also forced a safety on Houston.

Bills 31-21 over the Dolphins: Despite the Dolphins having QB Ryan Fitzpatrick throw 1 TD pass and have one of two rushing TDs they still blew the game. They lined up for an onside kick and the Bills returned it for a TD which sealed the game. QB Josh Allen led his team’s comeback with two 2nd half TDs to overcome an early deficit.

Rams 37-10 over the Falcons: The Rams picked off QB Matt Ryan once, and forced him to fumble twice, and his team also fumbled two more times. Their kicker missed a field goal too. While it was the QB Jared Goff show on offense with 2 passing TDs and a rushing TD. DT Aaron Donald recovered a fumble for a TD as well but for Atlanta but they lost Ryan to an injury on that play. QB Matt Schaub threw a TD pass late in relief.

Titans 23-20 over the Chargers: QB Philip Rivers had to do it again and lead his team in the 4th quarter down by two scores, and he did it by setting up a field goal and throwing one of his two TD passes in that quarter but in the end it wasn’t enough. The refs called back a rushing TD by RB Austin Ekeler followed by calling back a TD by RB Melvin Gordon and the exact next play Gordon fumbled the ball at the goal line to end the game. They couldn’t even take advantage of QB Ryan Tannehill throwing an interception and newly signed kicker Cody Parkey missing an extra point.

Ravens 30-16 over the Seahawks: The Ravens returned an interception by QB Russell Wilson for a TD and forced WR DJ Metcalf to fumble the ball away which they also returned for a TD. While QB Lamar Jackson despite having no TD passes had a rushing TD with 116 yards rushing. The Seahawks also missed a field goal.

Saints 36-25 over the Bears: The Bears fumbled the ball away twice and they had a punt blocked for a safety while their defense gave up four total TDs. Two were rushing TDs by RB Latavius Murray who was starting in place of RB Alvin Kamara who was out with an injury. QB Mitchell Trubisky did have 2 passing TDs with a 2-point conversion in the 4th quarter but it was too little too late for a comeback attempt. WR Cordarrelle Patterson did have 102 kick return TD in 1st quarter for the most exciting play of the game. RB Tarik Cohen had 9 receptions for 19 yards!?

Cowboys 37-10 over the Eagles: RB Ezekiel Elliot and RB Dak Prescott ran all over the Philly defense as Elliot had 111 yards rushing with a rushing TD and Prescott also had a rushing TD. WR Tavon Austin added a rushing TD plus Prescott had 1 passing TD. QB Carson Wentz had two of his team’s three fumbles and his 1 TD pass was cancelled out by his interception.

Patriots 33-0 over the Jets: The Patriots defense picked off QB Sam Darnold four times, forced three fumbles and one was turned into a safety. QB Tom Brady had a TD pass but it was cancelled by his one interception, but it was RB Sony Michel who stole the show offensively with three rushing TDs.
