NFL Recap Week 11 2018:

Seahawks 27-24 over the Packers: It was a battle of talented QBS as Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson each traded TDs all day as they both had 2 TD passes. Also, both of RBs each had rushing TDs. In the end it was Wilson who led his team down the field to set up the game winning TD pass to TE Ed Dickson for the win.

Cowboys 22-19 over the Falcons: Both teams traded field goals all game until QB Dak Prescott ran in it for a TD late in the 3rd quarter. Then the Cowboys outscored the Falcons in the 4th quarter 16-10 despite Matt Ryan leading his team down the field for a TD to WR Julio Jones who had 118 yards receiving. The real stars of the game were RB Ezekiel Elliot who had 201 all purpose yards plus the 4th quarter TD. The Falcons kicker Matt Bryant accounted for 13 points.

Ravens 24-21 over the Bengals: Andy Dalton had 2 TD passes and RB Joe Mixon rushed for a TD, but it still wasn’t enough to win the game. Rookie RB Lamar Jackson’s had his debut without injured QB Joe Flacco. Jackson was the 1st Raven with 100+ rushing yards (117) in a game this season. Plus backup RB Gus Edwards had 115 yards rushing with a TD (plus a two point conversion) and starting RB Alex Collins added another rushing TD. The difference was the Bengals missing their one field goal attempt.

Lions 20-19 over the Panthers: QB Cam Newton did out play QB Matthew Stafford by having 3 TD passes but he had an interception compared to Stafford’s 1 TD no turnovers. The Lions also had a rushing TD which Carolina didn’t have. The major difference was Detroit made all of their field goals and extra points while Graham Gano missed a field goal and an extra point.

Colts 38-10 over the Titans: The game simply came down to who had QB Andrew Luck and who had Marcus Mariota/Blaine Gabbert. The Colts have Luck and he had 3 TD passes with WR TY Hilton catching 2 of them while having 155 yards receiving. Plus both RBS Marlon Mack and Jordan Wilkins added rushing TDs. For Tennessee both Mariota and Gabbert had interceptions plus Mariota added a fumble. The Titans did manage to add a late TD pass to WR Tajae Sharpe thrown by Gabbert who came into the game because Mariota got hurt.

Giants 38-35 over the Buccaneers: Despite QB Ryan Fitzpatrick having a rushing TD, RB Peyton Barber having 106 yards rushing with a TD and QB Jameis Winston having 2 TD passes. It was a messy game for Tampa Bay. Fitzpatrick had 3 interceptions and Winston had a fumble and an interception, and one of the Tampa Bay interceptions was returned for a TD. Things went right for the Giants as Eli Manning had 2 TD passes with no interceptions. RB Saquon Barkley had 2 rushing TDs with 142 yards rushing, plus he caught one of those TD passes. The Giants scored the most points in a home game since 2012.

Texans 23-21 over Washington: Washington lost both battles today the game and the season. QB Alex Smith had two interceptions but the worst thing was breaking two bones in his leg which will sideline him for the season. QB Colt McCoy came into the game and threw a TD pass to TE Jordan Reed. The reason the game was close because RB Adrian Peterson had 2 rushing TDs. They also missed a field goal. In spite of QB DeShaun Watson having two interceptions and a fumble his team made the most of their field goals hitting 3 of 5. It was a sloppy game for both sides but Houston sealed the game with a late field goal plus they turned one of Washington’s turnovers in for a TD.

Saints 48-7 over the Eagles: It wasn’t the Eagles or QB Carson Wentz’s day as he had 0 TD passes and 3 interceptions. Their only points were RB Josh Adams having a rushing TD who no one has heard of. This game was all about the Saints: QB Drew Brees had 4 TD passes and RB Mark Ingram had 103 yards rushing with 2 rushing TDs. RB Alvin Kamara, WRs Michael Thomas, Austin Carr and Tre’Quan Smith caught the TD passes from Brees, and Smith had 157 yards receiving.

Broncos 23-22 over the Chargers: Behind, the Broncos RBs Phillip Lindsay had 2 rushing TDs and Royce Freeman added another one rushing as they came out ahead. QB Phillip Rivers didn’t have his best game with 2 TD passes and two interceptions. It wasn’t him that cost them the game. It was their kicker missing an extra point which seems to be the only weakness for the Chargers the past few seasons.

Raiders 23-21 over the Cardinals: Despite QB Josh Rosen having 3 TD passes he had two interceptions and a fumble, but it was QB Derek Carr having only 2 TD passes with no turnovers that sealed this game. Daniel Carlson hit a game winning field goal.

Steelers 20-16 over the Jaguars: It was a sloppy game for both QBS as Blake Bortles had two fumbles with no TD passes and Ben Roethlisberger had 3 interceptions but 2 passing TDs and a rushing TD. WR Antonio Brown had 117 yards receiving while catching one of those TD passes. For Jacksonville their only TD was a rushing score by RB Leonard Fournette.

Bears 25-20 over the Vikings: This was a very sloppy divisional game as both QBs had two interceptions, and each team’s RBs had a fumble. QB Kirk Cousins had 2 TD passes compared to QB Mitchell Trubisky’s 1 TD game plus a two point conversion. The difference was one of Cousins’ interceptions was returned by S Eddie Jackson for a TD. The Bears defense held the Vikings rushing game to only 22 yards.

Rams 54-51 over the Chiefs: This was a shootout among two of the top teams in the NFL. The QB with less turnovers came out the winner. QB Patrick Mahomes ended the game by throwing one of his three interceptions and had two fumbles, while QB Jared Goff had two fumbles but no interceptions. Mahomes did have 478 yards passing with 6 TD passes with two going to WR Tyreek Hill who also had 215 yards receiving. Goff had 413 yards passing with 4 TD passes and 1 rushing TD. Interesting enough both teams despite having top kickers each missed an extra point. It was the 1st game in NFL history which each team scoring 50+ points.
