NFL Recap Week 7 2017:

Raiders 31-10 over the Chiefs: It was a high scoring affair between division rivals. Derek Carr leads his team down field in comeback fashion with a game winning TD pass (extra point to win) to WR Michael Crabtree as time expired. Carr had 417 yards passing and 3 TD passes with the other 2 going to WR Amari Cooper who also had 210 yards. Even their backup RB DeAndre Washington had a rushing TD. RB Marshawn Lynch was ejected for making contact with a ref after he ran onto the field. It looked like he was protecting his teammate but really was protecting his relative on the Chiefs. The Chiefs on the other hand had a 3 TD 342 yard performance from QB Alex Smith. One of those TDs went to WR Tyreek Hill who had 125 yards receiving and TE Travis Kelce had one of the others despite leaving last week’s game with a concussion.

Seahawks 24-7 over the Giants: The Giants had a 7-3 lead over Seattle going into halftime thanks to a TD from rookie TE Evan Engram but again the Giants blew another lead. 1. Russell Wilson led his team to a comeback win with 3 TD passes and 334 yards as WRs Doug Baldwin, Paul Richardson and TE Jimmy Graham caught those TD passes.

Chargers 21-0 over the Broncos: We all thought it was going to be a close low scoring game as both teams were strong on defense, well we got that but it was the Chargers defense that showed up. They picked off QB Trevor Siemian once, sacked him five times, two by DE Joey Bosa, forced him to fumble twice and forced another fumble. They also held Denver’s leading rusher to under 50 yards and their leading receiver to under 70 yards. While on offense QB Phillip Rivers threw 2 TD passes. WR Travis Benjamin caught one of those TD passes but he also had a punt return TD as well.

Steelers 29-14 over the Bengals: In this division rival the Bengals played like they usually do. QB Andy Dalton threw two picks despite having 2 TD passes, his rookie RB fumbled and his offensive line let him get sacked four times. The Steelers offense was its usual, QB Ben Roethlisberger had no interceptions and 2 TD passes one to WR Antonio Brown. While RB Le’Veon Bell had 134 yards rushing and added 58 receiving yards as well. Kicker Chris Boswell kicked five field goals.

Cowboys 40-10 over the 49ers: It was all Dallas in this one with the usual suspects having good games. QB Dak Prescott had 3 TD passes and a rushing TD. RB Ezekiel Elliot had 147 yards rushing, 2 rushing TDS, and caught one of Prescott’s TD passes for 72 yards as he burned the 49ers defense. WR Dez Bryant and TE Jason Witten caught the other TD passes. While their defense held rookie QB CJ Beathard to no TD passes, they forced him to fumble twice and forced two more fumbles. Beathard did have a rushing TD, his first career rushing TD. The Cowboys had to turn to SS Jeff Heath to kick for the rest of game as Dan Bailey left with a groin injury.

Vikings 24-16 over the Ravens: It was 9 field goal game between both teams. Both QBS didn’t have great days. QB Joe Flacco did have one 1 TD pass but had 3 fumbles (4 on the day for the team) and was sacked five times, while QB Case Keenum had no TD passes and one interception. The bright spot for Minnesota was Latavius Murray had 113 yards rushing and a TD.

Dolphins 31-28 over the Jets: In a divisional game where QB Josh McCown was having a career day of 3 passing TDs and a rushing TD, it wasn’t enough as he threw a late interception to set up a game winning field goal for Miami. Also, Jets WR Jeremy Kerley had two fumbles as well. For the Dolphins QB Jay Cutler had his usual game with 2 TD passes and one interception but he left the game with a rib injury that will probably keep him out of their Thursday night game. His backup Matt Moore had the same stat line of 2 TD passes both going to WR Kenny Stills and one interception.

Rams 33-0 over the Cardinals(in London): The Rams defense shut out the Cardinals by picking off QB Carson Palmer and knocking him out of the game with an arm injury (broken left arm), and also made the backup QB Drew Stanton fumble and throw a pick. They also held the Cardinals receivers to under 40 yards and held RB Adrian Peterson to under 25 yards. While QB Jared Goff had an inconsistent game with 1 TD pass, one interception and one rushing TD. RB Todd Gurley had 106 yards rushing and a TD.

Jaguars 27-0 over the Colts: The Jaguars held QB Jacoby Brisset TD less (shut out), sacked him 10 times and forced him to fumble twice. Despite three fumbles and one interception both RBS on Jacksonville had good games with Chris Ivory with a TD and TJ Yeldon had 122 yards with a TD. Blake Bortles threw a TD pass to TE Mercedes Lewis.

Saints 26-17 over the Packers: In a messy game QB Drew Brees’s rushing TD was the key. Brees did have a passing TD with 331 yards but he had two interceptions. While in his first career start Brett Hundley had 0 passing TDs with one interception, one fumble but had a rushing TD. Both RBs had good games, as Mark Ingram had 105 yards rushing with a TD for New Orleans, and his backup RB Alvin Kamara had 107 all total purple yards. For Green Bay backup RB Aaron Jones had 131 yards rushing yards with a TD. The passing game wasn’t alive for Green Bay as WR Randal Cobb fumbled and the leading receiver had 17 yards, while kicker Mason Crosby missed a field goal. Ted Ginn JR 141 yards but fumbled the ball.

Titans 12-9 over the Browns: Against the Browns with a talented QB in Marcus Mariota, talented RBS in Derrick Henry and DeMarco Murray, and talented receivers in TE Delanie Walker (who fumbled), Eric Decker, Corey Davis and Rishard Mathews, they would score a lot. It was a true field goal game no TDS on either side with 7 field goals with Tennessee hitting the game winning one in OT. The Titans picked off rookie QB DeShone Kizer twice who was put back into the starting lineup, and even picked off Cody Kessler (not Kevin Hogan) who came in for Kizer.

Bears 17-3 over the Panthers: It was a career day for rookie free safety Eddie Jackson (I never heard of him either). The Bears sacked Cam Newtown five times, held him scoreless, picked him off twice and forced him to fumble. Jackson picked up a fumble after Newton dropped in front of his receiver and Jackson returned it for a TD. He also was one of the guys to pick off Newton but he ran it back for a TD. Carolina only scored on a field goal. QB Mitchell Trubisky had no interceptions but had no TDs, as Chicago scored on defense and special teams.

Bills 30-27 over the Buccaneers: It started off as a field goal game till both teams offenses woke up. QB Jameis Winston (who was questionable for the game) had 3 TD passes in trying to lead this team to win being down but had a pick and two fumbles. His skill players had four fumbles but rookie TE OJ Howard caught two of those TD passes with WR Mike Evans catching the other. QB Tyrod Taylor had one TD pass and RB LeSean McCoy had 2 rushing TDS (one fumble) with one in the fourth quarter to tie it. Bills kicked a game winning field goal with less than 40 seconds left.

Patriots 23-7over the Falcons: Tom Brady did have one fumble with only 2 TD passes and 249 yards, with the TD passes going to RB James White and WR Brandon Cooks. But he let his defense and special teams carry him tonight holding Atlanta to one TD pass to WR Julio Jones his first of the year, and held their run game to under 75 yards. Kicker Stephen Gostkowski hit three field goals in the Super Bowl LI rematch.

Eagles 34-24 over the Redskins: In a divisional game it was the QB Carson Wentz show with his arm and his legs despite an interception and two fumbles. He out played Kirk Cousins and dominated the Redskins defense. Wentz threw 4 TD passes and ran for 63 yards. Cousins didn’t have a bad game with over 300 yards with 3 TD passes but he had a pick and the Eagles limited his weapons to below 40 rushing yards, and less than 80 yards receiving. The positive note for Washington was TE Jordan Reed catching his first 2 TD passes of the year.
