NFL Recap Week 1 2016:

Texans 23-14 over the Bears: 1. Brock Osweiler was the better QB of the former Broncos QBS and the offense looks good which will help them make the playoffs/advance. 2. Lamar Miller picked up where he left off being a top 10 RB in the league seamlessly replacing Arian Foster. Which is funny because Foster is a Dolphin now basically a 1 for 1 swap. 3. It was not Jay Cutler’s fault they lost but rather the shaky line that let him get sacked five times and made him hurry his throws several times. 4. Kevin White’s red shirt year didn’t prove successful as he miss ran multiple routes. 6. Will Fuller and DeAndre Hopkins look like a good 1-2 punch for teams to worry about. 7. The Bears don’t have to mourn the loss of Matt Forte since Jeremy Langford scored a TD off the Texans Vaunted D.

Packers 27-23 over the Jaguars: 1. Reaffirmed that the Packers D as a whole unit can stop other team’s offenses so that the pressure doesn’t have to always be on Aaron Rodgers. 2. We also were reaffirmed that Rodgers can carry a team and be in the conversation for MVP. 3. Jordy Nelson looks like the same receiver he was before the right knee injury last year. 4. On the other side of the field Blake Bortles looks like a competent QB that you can rely on him to drive his team down the field as he racked up 320 passing yards. 5. Its reaffirmed Bortles has the weapons to make it a plus offense with, Allen Hurns, Allen Robinson, Julius Thomas and TJ Yeldon.

Lions 39-35 over the Colts: 1. We all should feel so bad for QB Andrew Luck who is a top 5 QB but again we were reaffirmed that his offensive line, run game and defense is subpar again. 3. Again the best player on D for the Colts is Robert Mathis who is past his prime and Frank Gore is your leading back that will not alleviate pressure from Luck when it comes to carrying a team. 4. On the other hand Matthew Stafford showed he can still leading his team down the field to win. 5. What shocked me was that the Lions won this game meaning they could win 6 games not 5.

Vikings 25-16 over the Titans: 1. It was no shock that the Vikings would beat the Titans who only won 3 games since they won the division and won 11. 2. What I learned/shocked by is how they won that game and that All Pro RB Adrian Peterson wouldn’t be a factor in the win, that the D was the reason they won with 3 turnovers, a forced fumble, 2 sacks and INT TD. 4. That it didn’t matter who was at QB Shawn Hill or Sam Bradford 5. The Titans learned that Demarco Murray is still a starting RB after a disappointing season in Philly after the record season he had with the Cowboys.

Giants 20-19 over the Cowboys: 1. We were all assured that Tony Romo looks like he is the only QB that could win for the Cowboys, as the others are 2-12 in place of him. 2. Despite Dallas having the best offensive line, All Pro WR Dez Bryant, and future hall of famer TE Jason Witten, Dak Prescott couldn’t lead his team to a win or throw a TD pass. 3. The running game didn’t show up despite having the best O- Line and having Alfred Morris and Ezekiel Elliot who did score but only had 51 yards on 20 attempts. 4. The Cowboys didn’t look like a division winner. 5. The way the Giants D looked it made you realize all that money spent in the off-season paid off with Olivier Vernon and others. 6. Rookie WR Sterling Sheppard looks like the real deal and that Victor Cruz is back after missing time due to knee and calf injuries looks like he’s back.

Eagles 29-10 over the Browns: 1. The only thing that we learned was QB Carson Wentz looks like a capable NFL QB. 2. It was reaffirmed that we don’t know when the Browns will win any games this year. 3. It was reaffirmed they still don’t have a QB since Robert Griffin got hurt and will miss most of the year.

Steelers 38-16 over the Redskins: 1. Redskins are not winning the division or going back to the playoffs. They can’t beat good teams and they are limited at QB which is a waste of the talent they have at the skill positions. 2. Ben Roethlisberger is underrated and makes it look like a video game the way he plays and for what he has to work with not including Antonio Brown. He has no Le’veon Bell, Martavis Bryant or the retired Heath Miller out there.

Broncos 21-20 over the Panthers: 1. What we learned was the Broncos had a running game. 2. Trevor Siemian looked competent enough to guide a team that has a great D and run game. 3. The D of Broncos is still elite. Only shocking thing was Carolina losing.

Raiders 35-34 of the Saints: 1. Saints still have one of the worst defense in the league. 2. Brees is still elite and has good RB in Mark Ingram. 2 Raiders look like a playoff team with Derrick Carr and Amari Cooper on offense, with Khalil Mack on D. 3.Carr proved he can lead a team to a victory despite being down early.

Buccaneers 31-24 over the Falcons: 1. QB Jameis Winston is the real deal at QB with tall receivers Mike Evans and Vincent Jackson and all pro RB Doug Martin. 2. The Falcons are one dimensional with QB Matt Ryan throwing to WR Julio Jones or handing off to RBS Devonta Freeman or Tevin Coleman.

49ers 28-0 over the Rams: 1. The Rams no matter which city they represent are dysfunctional in all aspects of the game. 2. They are going to waste the talents of RB Todd Gurley and DT Aaron Donald like they did with RB in Steven Jackson. 3. The supposed vaunted D let the 49ers another dysfunctional team score 28! 4. Jared Goff might be better of sitting till they figure it out he doesn’t want to be Sam Bradford and get hurt all the time. 5. The 49ers do have an offensive genius at head coach in Chip Kelly and he makes average QBs look like Blaine Gabbert now.

Patriots 23-21 over the Cardinals: 1. shocked that The Cards were upset by a team without Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski 2. We were reaffirmed no can outcoach Bill Belichick that he is still the best and smartest coach in the league that his system works no matter if it’s Brady, Matt Cassel or this time Jimmy Garoppolo. 3. The Pats are fine without Brady, even good without Gronkowski and some key defensive players.

Seahawks 12-10 over the Dolphins: 1. It was reaffirmed that both teams still have good defenses. 2. Ryan Tannehill could actually lead his team down field to take a lead. 3. It was reaffirmed that the Dolphins are chokers as they let a hobbled Russell Wilson lead his team to victory.

Ravens 13-7 over the Bills: 1. The Bills offense didn’t show up besides of Lesean McCoy. 2. Tyrod Taylor looked lost and stunk it up against a team that only won 5 games last year. 3. The Ravens D showed up.

Bengals 23-22 over the Jets: 1. WR AJ Green is still good, torching all pro CB Darrelle Revis. 2. It was reaffirmed the defense of Cincinnati is still good shutting down WRS Eric Decker and Brandon Marshall.

Chiefs 33-27 over the Chargers: 1. The Chargers reaffirmed they are chokers and aren’t going to win anything. 2. They blew a lead 17 point lead to a divisional rival who isn’t known for an elite offense so the defense isn’t good. 3. We learned Spencer Ware is a starting RB talent in the league with basically 200 all purpose yards. 4. We reaffirmed you can’t trust Keenan Allen because he can’t stay healthy at all which doesn’t help QB Philip Rivers.
